About this Cook
I started cooking a couple years ago, because I moved out with my boyfriend at the time and we needed meals. As I got better, I started to enjoy cooking more and more. Now I have one beautiful child with my wonderful husband, who likes almost everything that I cook (experiment or not). Cooking for me has now become almost a release at the end of the day, which is funny because growing up I hated cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Most everything. I dont always have alot of time to make dinner, so typically something quick.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Corned beef and cabbage. My mom makes the best. Artikchokes, bratwurst and sourkraut, and enchiladas.
My cooking triumphs
I have made a great tuna noodle casserole, bratwurst and sourkraut, tortilla rolls, and stuffed mushrooms and quite a bit of other things. My best I think is my shrimp chow mein.
My cooking tragedies
So far I have been lucky that I havent butchered any meal. I did try and cook a non-ripe artikchoke...and that was not so yummy.

Roasted Garlic Potato Soup
This soup was amazing! I took the advice of some other reviews and I roasted the garlic cloves with the potatoes, I also used a roasted garlic olive oil to roast the potatoes in, and turned it vegan by using veggie broth and almond milk. My husband who is not vegan said it was my best vegan soup to date :)

Lettuce with Hot Bacon Dressing
Loved it! I used a spring mix for the greens and did everything else the same and it turned out amazing! I only made half the servings since we never finish that much salad, but I should have made the full amount because it was yuuuummmy!

Quinoa Tabbouleh
Loved it! I served it with pita bread and hummus, and it is super filling. If you serve it immediatly, it will taste like something is missing, but if you wait a day , the juices soak up and it is great! This definatly serves more than 4, I got about 8 servings out of it.
