Perfect Ten Baked Cod

The fish was wonderfully moist and infused with a great flavor. I will be making this again. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of that I used gluten free crackers rather than the crackers recommended. I recommend putting the crackers in a sealed baggie and crushing then pretty finely. They will stick to the fish better in smaller pieces.

Easy Grilled Lemon Chicken

I am gluten intolerant so I substituted Braggs aminos for the soy sauce. I also made a 1/2 recipe rather than a full one since I was only marinating 2 chicken breasts. The chicken was moist and had a nice flavor. However, next time, I will probably use fresh ginger instead of ground ginger to allow the flavor of that spice to come through more clearly.

Bum's Lunch

Excellent and easy to make. I added a little diced red onion and shredded carrot as suggested by another reviewer for added color, texture and taste. I also made a half recipe instead of an entire recipe. I will be making it again, particularly while cucumbers are in season.

Ultimate Green Beans

This recipe was okay, but after eating it, I felt like all the extras just buried the taste of fresh green beans. I think I prefer fresh crisp green beans steamed with salt and butter added at the end. This wasn't a bad recipe....just not one I would repeat.

Chef John's Shaved Asparagus Salad

I made the recipe exactly according to the directions and the video. It came out perfectly. I had never eaten asparagus raw before. The dressing tenderizes the asparagus just right. My husband usually catagorically refuses to eat anything with mustard in it so I didn't tell him about the mustard until AFTER he had eated the dressed asparagus and he had repeatedly said he liked it. We will be having this again! Thanks Chef John!

Broccoli Stir Fry

I have to agree with the other reviewer who said this was lacking in taste. Both my husband and I like broccoli and we both felt this recipe somehow took away the actual flavor of broccoli! We thought it was possibly a good recipe for people that don't hate broccoli. BWT, I did add fresh lemon juice at the end as others suggested.....still didn't do anything for me.

Conh Chowdah (Corn Chowder)

I added red bell pepper, celery, diced potatoes and mushrooms to the saute. I used frozen corn that I had on hand rather than fresh. I added 4 small chicken bullion cubes and a small amount of water to the vegetables to allow them to soften and cook. Next I coarsely blended about a cup of the sauteed vegetables with some heavy cream and returned the mixture to the pot. Finally, I added about a cup of heavy cream and a cup of 1%milk to make a hearty chowder. I adjusted the salt and pepper to taste and served with fresh dill on top. With all those adjustments, it turned into a fantastic soup!

Baked Tofu Bites

Very good. I did not add the vinegar or liquid smoke. I added some powdered ginger. I might try freezing the tofu next time to see if I like the texture better that way. I will make this again.

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Very good. Next time, I'll probably add more salt to the sauce (or a little wine). I used Old Bay Seasoning instead of salt to cook the shrimp. Wish I had thought to serve garlic bread on the side.

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

This was excellent!! I cooked it for closer to 3.5 hours. Very tender and the flavor of the vegetables was awesome cooked in the broth. I took the meat out and let it rest while I cooked the veggies.

Slow Cooker Tapioca Pudding

Very easy to make. Used low heat for 6 hours and stirred about every 45 minutes. Added about 2 tsps of pure vanilla extract after allowing to cool for 10 minutes.
