Wings In Cola

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
Everyone who ate this tonight absolutely LOVED it! I can't give 5 stars because I changed the recipe too much. My husband can't have caffeine so I substituted caffeine-free root beer for the cola. In order to curb the additional sweetness of the swap, I cut the brown sugar in half and added an extra tablespoon of soy sauce. Additionally, I cooked the recipe in my electric frying pan for the first hour at 325F then turned it down to simmer and added about a 1/4 more root beer for another hour, covered the whole time. Meat was fall-off-the-bone tender in half the time with less effort without heating up my kitchen in this oppressive summer heat!

I followed Kimzee's directions and made a few changes. -I used different cheeses: 2 c Munster, 1 c Vermont cheddar, 1 c sharp cheddar -I had some heavy cream on hand that I needed to use so I used 1 c heavy cream and 1 c 2% -I caramelized onions and green peppers and added them to the mix Enjoy!

Balsamic Glazed Carrots

Quick and easy. Very Delicious! I used regular carrots and cut them up into round slices. I then sauteed them with some onions I was caramelizing.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Turns out that if you accidentally forget the milk, it'll be ok. Also, I never make plain pancakes, so adding three bananas, 3/4 c choco chips, 1/2 c walnuts and 1/4 c coconut really made these fantastic pancakes!

Linguine with Spinach and Brie

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
This is a really simple, delicious recipe that I've tried many times, but never the same way. It's so easy to add what you like and take away anything you don't without ruining the flavor! Thanks.
