These were delicious! I actually left out the chocolate chips and walnuts, but added wheat germ, and used 1/2 wheat and 1/2 white flour. As a side note, I used a touch of nutmeg to spice things up a bit, as I thought they would turn out a little bland without it. I also substituted cinnamon applesauce for the oil.
After baking them I wrapped them individually with "Press N Seal" and then tossed them into a gallon sized ziploc freezer bag and froze them. My husband and 2 year old son absolutely adore them, and with these changes they are even healthier!
