Ham and Pineapple Pinwheels

This was very good, but I did make a few changes. I used regular cream cheese, and pineapple in heavy syrup, not juice. After reading some of the reviews that the juice makes it too thin. I let the pineapple sit in a strainer for about 5 minutes, then mixed with the cream cheese. It wasn't even slightly runny. It was perfect! Next time i will maybe try to sprinkle a little brown sugar on top of the ham.

Kerri's Holiday Punch

This punch was FANTASTIC. A few hints: make sure you get the 100 proof Southern Comfort. It's a bit too watered down otherwise. Also freeze the fruit slices a few hours before, they act as ice cubes to keep the punch cold. I followed the recipe exactly (with diet soda to cut some calories) and it was all gone for my Super Bowl party! I was already asked to make it again for the next event!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

This is amazing Mac and cheese, I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn't change a thing! Dont add any extra noodles! It is perfect exactly how the recipe states, and I suspect the dish would be quite dry with extra noodles. I would suggest however putting it in a roomy dish, mine kind of overflowed and created lots of burnt cheese at the bottom of my oven. Also let it stand about 20 minutes covered after baking so the sauce thickens properly, it will still be extremely hot! Great recipe!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Everyone at my family get togethers LOVES this dish now! Although I think there is one thing that is essential (at least from my experience) that is an absolute dealbreaker here, and that is the texture of the fruit. The first time I made this dish, I sliced up the fruit into small chunks with a knife. Everyone liked it, but it wasn't a huge hit. The second time, I used a blade chopper and chopped the pieces up much finer like actual salsa (in my picture). This time everyone LOVED the dish, and it was completely gone. It seems like the smaller the chunks the better, but without it being soupy. I also used fuji apples, boysenberry preserves, and added a small amount of blueberries!

Nutty Goat Cheese Bites

This recipe was very tasty! I followed it exactly, and it had a lot of flavor. I did use "candied" pecans, and they gave it a really nice sweetness. I think it would also be good with some flavored goat cheese, maybe a herb flavor.

Noodle Kugel (Dairy)

I thought this recipe was a bit strange. It was a little too sugary for me, half way between a meal and dessert with not a whole lot of flavor other than the sugar (and I LOVE sugar). It was also difficult to get it cooked thouroughly in the center since I doubled the recipe. So I had to cook it for an extra 30 minutes. I definitely plan on making this again, but next time i'm sure it will be great if I cut the sugar in half, and also add something that will compliment the sugar like 1 lb of breakfast sausage.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

This recipe is just like my grandma used to make. I followed the recipe almost exactly, except I put the cottage cheese in a food processor to grind out the chunks. I then blended into the cottage cheese 1/2 cup milk and other reviewers suggested to prevent dryness. I also made sure to use REAL shaved parmesean cheese from the deli instead of the crumbled kraft kind. I think this made a huge difference, and the dish had a bit more flavor. If you don't like the "fake" tasting TV dinner mac and cheese, this is for you. Extremely creamy, flavorful and smooth.

Quick Pasta Carbonara

This pasta was AMAZING! I added shrimp, and used Turkey Bacon to cut down on the fat, but kept everything else the same. TONS of flavor, and everyone loved it!

Tacos in Pasta Shells

I have made this dish many times now, and my family loves it. I've added a pinch of cilantro before, and also made it with packaged taco seasoning in the meat. I always have some guacamole as well on the side to top it with. It's always good!

Baby Blue Punch

The first time I made this recipe for my baby shower, and it was A HIT! We made one punch bowl exactly as described, and then another ALCOHOLIC, with a half bottle of "Three Olives Whipped Cream Vodka". It was fantastic, just the right amount of "dessert-ness" with the ice cream and whipped cream vodka, but also went very well with the citrus from the juices. I have made this a few times since and it's always GONE.

Easy Candy Yams

This was a great recipe, but does not need any butter AT ALL. I cut the butter in half and was still scooping it off the top. I used canned potatoes, chopped them up a bit and then topped it with caramel sauce, butter brown sugar and marshmallows. After the butter sludge was gone, it was FABULOUS! Very easy recipe. Next time I will probably mix the caramel and potatoes more, and add some pecans on top!

Crab Rangoon III

These were just OK. I really enjoy the "cheesyness" of the rangoons in the restaurant. These had a little too much seasoning, and didn't have that same taste. I used imitation crab meat, and left out the water chestnuts. I also added some green onion. Still, they just didn't taste cheesy enough.

Quick Caribbean Quesadillas

These were absolutely FANTASTIC. I made them for a party, and everyone loved them! Make a little extra pineapple preserves/honey mustard dip on the side for dipping. The swiss cheese is amazing!

Spinach Brownies

These were excellent! I also cooked the onions before mixing them in. I also added a little chedder cheese on top. I used canned spinach for the recipe, because I just decided to make them last minute and had it on hand. They still tasted absolutely wonderful! They have a lot of flavor.

This recipe was excellent! I used low fat half and half to cut down on the fat. I also used a little extra goat cheese on the bottom. It was wonderful! Everyone wished I would have made more.

Holiday Brie en Croute

This recipe was WONDERFUL as is. I chose the raspberry jam, craisins, and toasted almonds. It's incredibly easy to make, and was a HUGE HIT! One of the best recipes I've made from this site. I made two, using a 14 oz Brie for one, and an 8oz Brie for the other. I didn't trim the pastry much, just folded it underneath so there was TONS of soft pastry to eat with the cheese.
