Oaty Cereal Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
My 10 year old loved these. I made one batch Friday and made another today. We used a smaller pan to make them a little thicker. Plan on throwing trail mix in instead of the peanuts next time. They are very easy to make too.

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Very easy and quick recipe to make. I used honey instead of corn syrup and added craisins instead of raisins. I made another batch with coconut, chocolate chips, sunflower seeds, and pecans. Everyone loves them and they are easy enough for my 9 year old to make! Thanks for sharing!

Ham and Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I give it 4 1/2 stars. Hubby said it tasted like his grandma's. I did make a couple of adjustments though. I used 2 tablespoons brown sugar and instead of cayenne pepper I added about dried pepper flakes (1/2 tsp). Overall very good and will make again!

Cherry Mash Bars

Very good! I used chunky peanut butter instead of adding peanuts and it is great! Will make again and will try using butterscotch chips for something different. Thanks for sharing!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I actually tried this after always having my fudge turn out grainy (no matter what recipe I tried) and this was not grainy. It was easy to make and set up perfectly. I used good quality chocolate chips but I felt it tasted too much like the chocolate chips--wasn;t quite what I was after, but it was good.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I followed some of the suggestions and cut the sugar back. I didn't have cardamom on hand so made it without and it is very good. It had an aftertaste, but I think it was the tea so next time I may just make it without the tea and use tea bags instead. Overall it is very good! Update: Made the mix with the cardamom and brewed tea with Darjeeling tea bags--perfect!

Russian Tea

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I did not have the packet of lemonaid kool aid but subbed the presweetened lemonaid mix like Country Time in place of the kool aid and sugar. I did not add extra sugar and it turned out really good. I made another batch with Tang and used the kool aid packet and Splenda for my mom and it tasted like the original thing.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I made this different ways and we like these variations the best: butterscotch pudding with a bag of butterscotch chips and 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans. Also I used cheesecake pudding with a bag of white chips and 2 cups dried cranberries. I also make the whole batch with cheesecake pudding mix, divide it in half and them make one part with just chocolate chips and other with the white chips/dried cranberries so I have two kinds of cookies from the single batch. No one complains about them!

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
These are really easy to throw together in a hurry. I decreased the oil to 1/3 cup and actually use melted butter in the oils place. Our favorite is butter pecan cake mix with Heath toffee pieces mixed in.

Homemade Plain Yogurt

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I made three batches right away and we like it. I left one plain to use in place of sour cream, and then added about two teaspoons of honey and about a teaspoon of vanilla to the milk mixture of the other two after I stirred the yogurt in before pouring into jars. I then used my crock pot to keep the mixture at the right tempurature. I covered the jars with warm water and set it on low uncovered. I watched the temperature and turned it off and covered it when it reached 110 degrees. If it dropped to low I would turn it back on. It was ready in four hours. Very good recipe!
