The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
These were very good sugar cookies~! The only thing was that it was a lot of work~! I did put the dough in the refrigerator over night so it was really stiff taking it out. I would suggest to let it get to room temp before working with it!! Overall everyone thought it tasted REALLY good so I was happy with it. They wanted more but I think it will be a while before I tackle this again. With the baking and decorating it took me 5 hrs~! lol

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Very Good icing~! I made one batch following the almond extract and another with Vanilla extract. I preferred the Vanilla but people seem to like them both!! Once it dries it was perfect~!

Baklava

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was a very easy recipe and it came out very nice!! We had a middle eastern inspired dinner so it went well with it. Everyone complimented on it. Just make sure that when you do lay down the Phyllo dough you brush on the melted butter. And make 1 1/2 of the syrup sauce. I made extra but did not use it all because I though it would be too much, but I realize that it would have been better if I added all of it in. Make sure it has a chance to sit as well!!

Red Velvet Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I was doing a bake sale and needed a Red Velvet Cake recipe. After reading all the reviews, I was a bit nervous but went ahead and made the cake. It was a hit~! But I did do the changes the other reviewers recommended: 4 tablespoons of unsweetened coco 1 cup of oil instead of shortening 2 cups of sugar And for the frosting I used the Cream cheese frosting II recipe. I was scared to use the flour one and everyone seemed to be use to the cream cheese frosting. I had no problems with the recipe and very happy with it. Just know that it is a VERY heavy cake so using a mixer is key to make it moist. The batter is really thick and would be really hard to mix by hand.

Quick and Super Easy Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I was extremely surprised on how quick and easy this meal was. In the end it was very delicious and can't wait to make it again! The only changes I made was that I sauteed onions and carrots. Then added the broth and chicken along with some diced up red potatoes. I let it simmer and boil it bit longer then the recipe called for and then finally added the biscuit. I also used the pilsbury dough ready made biscuits. I didn't want too many so I only added half the can! The whole thing took me 30 minutes and I highly recommended to everyone!!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This has to be the best peanut butter cookie I had ever tasted. You would think that it would be super sweet because of the peanut butter cup but it was actually not. The recipe said that it would make 40 but I was only able to make around 32. This one is a keeper!!

Green Tea Layer Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
This cake was absolutely delicious. I followed the recipe exactly and the cake came out moist and fluffy. I did have to double the frosting though. I had my friends and family try it and they loved it. Everyone kept on coming over until the cake was gone. Thanks for the recipe!! Try to find the powder green tea though otherwise you won't get the same result.
