Cornmeal Coating

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Not the best I've ever had but the best I've ever made. ;-) I left out the thyme and paprika and increased the red pepper to 1/4. It has a pretty crunchy coating when you use yellow cornmeal, less so with the white cornmeal, or at least my brand. It is so simple and easy we will be keeping this one.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
This recipe is so good. I had no problems with my oven smoking and it is not the cleanest oven. Can't wait to rub it on some chicken breasts and grill them this summer.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
I had trouble creaming the butter and sugar together, sugar just kept flying everywhere. I ended up first using my pastery cutter to chop the butter up fine. I made them in a small pan so I got 18 muffins, my husband gives them 5 stars he ate 12 in two days.

5 Minute Candy Bar Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
We have had this recipe for years now. We make it with kit kats. They get mushy if left overnight but we don't ususally have left overs.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
This is great. I've used it not only with taco's I put just a pinch on hamburgers to give them a kick, and sprikled on tomatoes for a salad.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Some people have problems with the filling staying in the rolls, I melted the butter and poured it over the dough then added the sugar and cinnamon mix and smoothed it out. It worked out well and I had no problems with in oozing out. I've already got plans to make them again. The are easier to make than they look.

Cheese and Sausage Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This was great! We didn't have cottage cheese so I just added a little bit more cheese and more tomato to make sure it wasn't dry. I also wanted to use up what we had in our garden and added some green pepper it was a good addition. My DH and both agreed you could have this for a late brunch also. The only change was that our zuchinni was still crunchy so next time we are going to use young zuch's and chop them up and mix it all together to make more of a casserol.

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
This just really didn't pop with me. It was a little oily. I made it the night before and let it sit in the fridge just like some reviews said and like I usually make pasta salad but it just wasn't good. I like all of the "salad stuff" though. One thing I thought would definately make it better was using fresh herbs. If I ever make this again I will be cutting back on the oil just a little and deffinately using fresh herbs.

Cheddar Dill Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
Not as good as Red Lobsters Cheddar Dill muffins. I was looking for something simaler but healthier, I think after this experiment I'll just mess around with the Red Lobster recipe. Their texture was good and it did have just a little to much dill. I did use dried the recipe didn't specify. I would probably cut the dill in half and use a sharp cheddar or extra sharp cheddar but I probably will not be making it again.

Ham and Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
WAY TO MUCH SUGAR. I forgot to reread the reviews before I made this and didn't cut the sugar down. I'll make this again but just like one other person suggested I'll probably cut it down to a table spoon and add after it is done cooking if I think it needs more. Kinda mad because I made double to have left overs and not only was I able to eat it for left overs I ruined the only ham hock I had from our pig this year.

Decorator Frosting

Great consistancy, easy to work with and more flavor than the Wilton icing. I used Almond Extract and one tsp was perfect.

Taco Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
I'd give this 10 stars if I could. My husband loves taco's and we have to have them every week. I was so sick of them I decided I would try this for a nice change and it was! I added the corn like so many people recommended and it was great. A recomendation to anyone.

These are great. Make sure you don't bake them to long they get hard. I also substituted the chocolate chips with chopped Andes Mints and they were gobbled quickly.

Wonderful. I was in a hurry so I ran the banana and the apple through the food processor while the apple was pretty big chunks it was still great.

I loved it. We don't use dijon very often but I used spicy brown mustard, it turned out great and the specs of mustard really gave it some visual appeal as well.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
We really didn't like this. It wasn't a waste of ingredients but we won't be making it again. To much butter, really to much dill. The flavors are a good idea but you can have to much of a good thing. I think if we would ever try it again we would put a pat of butter on each fillet, a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh dill and steam it in a pouch.
