Jenny's Black Forest Cake

Cake was amazingly moist and delicious. May not be fair for me to rate this recipe because we did substitute 1 cup water with vanilla and cocoa in it for coffee since we don't drink coffee. And we didn't use any liquor either. Was absolutely gobbled up!! I also used the topping idea from Black Forest Cake I recipe. Yu-uhm!

Chicken Parmigiana

Simple- and tasty. But could be tastier if chicken was marinaded or had some seasoning on it first. And may try without sauce on top next time to see if we like it better more crunchy. Kids gobbled it up!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

It's SUPER sweet! My husband said...lay this stuff in a pie crust and you've got sweet potato pie here! It's dessert practically. So...of course yummy! 4 Stars because it's a little too sweet for me to be a casserole and my topping was just wet and I was thinking it should've been crunchy.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Well, lots of people giving 5's but only with lots of changes and additions. I don't think that's a fare rating really. This is a great basic, easy sauce. I would say it's a base sauce to which anyone can taste it after putting all the ingredients in and add what they personally like or think it needs.

Pecan Pie V

DELISH- DELISH!!! It was a hit! I blended the nuts in our little mini processor and was afraid I got some of them too small (some was powder form even). However it made it more flavorful and kept the filling from getting a jelly like feel to it. All ready to make it again!

I loved it! Used beef bullion because...it's beef you're cooking. Added a little garlic for fun. Grew up eating this on mashed potatoes.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

YUUUUM! I put a little extra fruit...maybe 1/2 cup more rhubarb & 1 cup strawberries (just because I had them and didn't want to waste them.) and it was excellent. I also threw in a dash or two of cinim. & nutmeg to the topping for the fun of it, and it was yumicious also!

BUSH'S® Red, White and Bean Minestrone

LOVE it! I've tried it with Pork sausage and Italian flavored ground turkey. I think the pork sausage was better-more flavor. Don't need to change a thing unless you want it vegetarian style or more meat. With more meat (then the 1/4 cup the recipe calls for) we just put a little extra tomatoe paste with the extra meat. A scrumptuous soup!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Excellent! I followed the recipe to the T and loved it! You get to decide how much you thicken the sauce...it will be a little runny until it cools a lot. Everyone is so wordy in their reviews and revisions. The only thing I might like to change is the flavor of the chicken--because you boil it with vegis, it is tender meat, but not much flavor after you've boiled it to death. So I might try marinading the meat or cooking it with some seasonings and cooking it separately from the vegis. ?? We'll see, I guess i'll have to make it again...oh, shucks. :) Hubby and I loved it!

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

We loved this bread. I added raisins to one loaf...not so good, but ok. We didn't like the coconut in it that much either, but it was ok. The bread-bread part of it was excellent! Very moist and yummy!

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Very tasty! It was very balanced, very flavorful--it didn't need any extra sauce like some meatloafs. It was little greasy...but how do you avoid that with a pound and a 1/2 of hamburger?

Roasted Pork Loin

Lessen the amt of rosemary if it's not your favorite. It can be kinda strong. I also marinated in fridge for a couple hours and used a meat thermometer to make sure it was done. Very moist and yummy!

We thought it was dry. I would almost double the tomato sauce...however it might mean adding more spices too? Also always plan on putting extra cheese. I used a small 8 oz thing of swiss, i'd double it next time too. I also used crookneck squash instead of mushrooms and it was yummy! We loved the flavor, just needs a little more sauce to it.

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

I thought this was pretty good. Next time I will leave out the sugar. The red paste worked out just fine, although mine did not say "concentrate" on the bottle anywhere. I might try putting in some other vegis too next time. My hubby and I both liked it!

Rich Chocolate Brownies

Wowzers! These are yumalishious! Very rich! Each time I make them I'm going to put a little less sugar and cocoa until I find the perfect amount. Don't get me wrong-I love them the way they are, however, I want to be able to eat 5 of them in one sitting and not be sick! ;)
