Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
I'm new to bread making in the bread machine...but to me this recipe was very good. Like reviewers suggested I put my machine on Basic instead of whole wheat. I also programmed it to "Light". I added the salt w/ the wet ingredients which I added first and also substituted the dry milk w/ an 1/8 cup of regular milk. Bread was fairly dense but quite moist and I enjoyed the slightly sweeter flavor.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
The 2-1/2 lbs of pork ribs I had turned out sooo very tender using other reviewers suggestions of cooking for 2-1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Also made up my own rub of paprika, cocoa, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cayenne and applied before marinating for just 2 hrs. Also did the broiling to sear the sauce on the top. Only did it for 3 minutes as I failed to remove the foil and almost burned the house down :).

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
So delicious! I usually use a mix but have found that mixes leave this unappetizing after-taste in your mouth...These, on the other hand, were flawless! I doubled for a family of six and we only have a few left over. I also didn't have the full amount of butter so I had to add a little canola oil, which worked out fine. I also added one smashed banana and 1/3 cup of chocolate chips. So yummy!

Lemon Pie Bars

Sooo good! Doubled the lemon topping as suggested and baked for longer...turned out great! Fresh squeezed lemon juice is key.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
Spicy! I used Cider Vinegar as my vinegar and also added about a tablespoon of honey. Also used half ketchup half bbq sauce. Took only 5 hours as I was only cooking one rack that was around 2.5 lbs. Very tender and fell of the bone.

The Best Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
Very good! Also added chopped up stems and sautéed with garlic. Instead of cooking bacon I took the lazy way out and added real bacon bits...was still good. Topped w/ combo of breadcrumbs and parm. and worked fab!

Spanish Cod

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
My husband and I LOVED this! Instead of the deli marinated salad I added sauteed zucchini and capers w/ a little splash of caper juice. I also added a little red wine thanks to another reviewer. Oh, and I added a little honey to cut down the tomato flavor a tad as my hubby isn't a fan of heavy tomato sauce. My fish turned out super moist and the sauce was the best I've made in a while.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This recipe was great. My hubby, who doesn't love pork chops actually liked it! I added a couple of spoonfuls of sour cream for added kick. Otherwise I followed the recipe as is (which is rare for me!)

Healthy Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
This is a good base recipe. I lightly sauted the onion and bell pepper first and also added garlic into my saute'. To hold in flavor I add a spaghetti or tomato sauce to the top. I also season the entire mix w/ cilantro, basil or whatever I'm in the mood for!
