About this Cook
Cooking is a way of creating, a passion. Taking simple ingredients and making something delicious is my favorite thing to do! I love making people happy with food.
My favorite things to cook
I love ALL Pasta dishes. The combination of vegetables, meat and pasta is unbeatable. Baking is my first love though!
My favorite family cooking traditions
At 47 and divorced, our traditions have changed a lot. We used to have such set ways. Now, enjoying a meal together, no matter what it is, is a huge blessing.
My cooking triumphs
One Christmas, I was asked what bakery I stopped at when my friends husband opened the box of cookies I brought! What a feeling! Making Thanksgiving dinner all those years and having my ex mother in law tell me it was delicious! Now that was a giant triumph!

Roasted Vegetable Ratatouille
I made this last night and loved it! I did add an onion and 4 big cloves of garlic sliced thin. I used a 28oz can of chunky crushed tomatoes with basil & oregano and served it with grilled sweet Italian sausage.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie
This was just wonderful! Using 6 large apples was good, I poured half of the sauce over the apples, prepared the lattice ahead and it was perfect. Did not burn, or drip out! Family allergy to cinnamon makes this a perfect apple pie. Very very happy with it!

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce
Great recipe!! I baked it at 400 for 10 mins and it was perfect! I used lots of cajun seasoning and thought it was fantastic. Will absolutely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!
