Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
Very tasty, easy salad to make. I only added about 2 tsp of Old Bay and it was just right.

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This is a absolutely fabulous cake. It is light, fluffy and moist. I used 1 cup CF and 1 cup AO flour because I ran out of CF. I also used 4 yolks and 2 whole eggs. I baked it in a 13" round and it took 20 minutes.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
This recipe is really good. I more or less followed it except I used butter and a little oil and cut down on the sugar. I also roasted the seeds until they were golden brown.

Pork Chile Rojo (Pulled Pork with Red Chile Sauce)

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
This was pretty good although my family decided that it needed more kick. I added some cayenne and salt at the end of cooking and will use hot salsa next time. I also refuse to cook anything in a plastic bag -- that cannot be healthy. I cooked everything in a crockpot. I would probably make it again with modifications.

Spinach and Leek White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
This soup is really great. I used great northern beans, and I also added some turkey sausage to the pot. We like spinach so I added an extra. My two small children loved it. Thanks!

This cornbread was just ok. It was a little bland.

Torte Melange

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This is a great recipe. I added a layer of scrambled eggs in the middle. It adds some height and color. I also used roasted red peppers instead of banana peppers.

Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2007
My mom used this recipe for years but this was my first attempt at canning. These pickles are AMAZING. They are crisp, not too vinegary and have a little zip (I added a dried red chili pepper to each jar.) Next year, I'm canning twice as much!
