I'm a fantasy artist originally from Texas though now living a good distance away from home with my husband and son. After marrying a Bulgarian guy with a taste for international cuisine, I--the girl who knew only how to cook generic American dishes and a few Tex-mex dishes--had to really learn a whole new world of cooking.
It's been fun to experiment and get acquainted with food from other places though. :)
My favorite things to cook
I especially like cooking ethnic and International cuisine--namely, dishes originating from central to eastern europe, traditional Jewish dishes, Middle Eastern and Asian dishes as well. But I do like to cook American food too sometimes!
I also love baking pretty much anything (but especially things that are sweet). :D
My cooking triumphs
I consider it a triumph every time a dish turns out right and I come through the experience uninjured. The getting the dish right part happens more often than not; the keeping myself uninjured...well, I'm working on that one. ;)
My cooking tragedies
Ha! There are probably far too many of these to recount and they range from failed (okay, okay, *miserably* failed) dishes to kitchen injuries that have left large, permanent scars.
It's a wonder people still trust me with sharp objects. :D
