I'm young-15- but I love to bake and cook. I started cooking by myself at 8 and was making full dinners by 11. My mother has always loved to bake and so I have grown up baking at every holiday. My dad was chef for a few years before he and my mom got married, and he loves to cook. He does a lot of the cooking at my house.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking lasagna and baking lemon deserts. Cornflake chicken is fun to make too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas we make a ton of cookies, we have one recipe that has been passed down in my Mom's family for a few generations. We make it every year.
My cooking triumphs
Completing a tasty french dinner. I made french chicken, french dinner rolls, some french side dishes, and french cookies for desert. It was really good!
My cooking tragedies
The pancake tragedy. We usually make pancakes from a box, but we were out of pancake mix so I went online and found a few recipes, the one I tried turned out horribly! Plus the kitchen was a disaster!

Cinnamon Toast
This is a very good breakfast dish, but I make it a little differently. I mix cinnamon and sugar in an empty cinnamon container and then keep it with my spices. It works on any kind of bread, not just white.

Baking Powder Biscuits I
These are delicious! Perfect for tight schedules and busy nights. They were a bit dry, so we ate them with butter and jelly. They were so good!! I have made these several times and plan on making them many more times!!!

Easy OREO Truffles
These were awesome! The store was out of Bakers baking chocolate so I got semi-sweet chocolate chips instead, they worked wonderfully. The dipping process was messy, slow and a little hard. At first I was using my hands, but they just fell apart, so I got a fork, placed a ball in the bowl and used the fork to scoop the melted chocolate on top of the ball. I found out that the more you moved the actual ball, the more it fell apart. So try and move the ball as little as possible. A great recipe, and I will definitely make again!!!
