Classic Bran Muffins

We really liked these. I substituted Brown sugar Splenda for the Brown sugar and I used All Bran cereal instead of the bran. But I did this to cut sugar and cereal was what I had on hand. I will try with applesauce and egg substitute next batch. I will be making these often. I know the original had I followed would have been great. Jgled

Apple Butter Bars

I tried this,left out the raisins but added Apple chopped instead. It was very moist but also very crumbly. The taste was good but I felt it was way too sweet for me. If I try again I will cut back on the sugar. I did make the icing .should have made 1/2 the amount ,I only used part o f It. It really can do without the icing.maybe powered sugar on top would dress it up a bit. Thanks for the recipe

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

I know this is good since I have made a similar dish, my only suggestion would be to use frozen peas or mixed vegtables, eliminate or lower salt, you get salt in the biscuit mix, canned ingredients add unnecessary salt to our diet.

Traditional White Bread

followed recipe,used light butter as my shortening,crust was nice and crispy, bread was very good. will try it with whole wheat in part next time. have made this recip 2x already.

Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread

this is a terrific loaf. very tender. I used my bread machine to knead and added wheat gluten to it. I found the dough sticky but I just added more whole wheat flour . I am new to making bread and this was my second recipe I tried. I will make this again and again.
