My Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2014
I added 1 1/2 more tablespoons chili powder and one can diced green chilis. I also added about a teaspoon of sugar. Great base for a chili recipe. It is better the next day!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2014
Amazing! I added shredded carrots and served bean sprouts on the side. I also served sweet chili dipping sauce. I couldn't find pickled ginger, so I sliced up fresh ginger root and soaked it in vinegar for an hour. Great meal!

This is a huge hit everywhere I take it! I boil chicken breasts and cut them into small pieces, rather than using can chicken. Amazing!

Excellent. I am allergic to onions, so I substituted the salsa with a can of Rotel (drained). This was amazing and everyone loved it!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
AMAZING! I didn't mess with brushing the sauce onto the chicken. I simply added all of the sauce into the baking pan and basted the chicken every 5-10 minutes. Such a great flavor! I served it with oriental rice and green beans tossed in soy sauce.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
I took the advice of others and put half of the recommended amount of paprika. I finished off the dish with feta cheese. The cheese served as a nice contrast to the sweetness of the honey. This will be made again!

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This was good! I used the garlic cresent rolls, turkey pepperoni, and reduced fat mozzarella. As per others' suggestions, I froze the rolls before cutting them and used my magic bullet to mix some sauce and chop up the pepperoni. When I cut them, some of them broke apart, but I fit them together and laid them on the pan. They were very good. Next time, I would double the recipe to make a larger amount of rolls.

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
In the midst of Thanksgiving preparation, I forgot to add the brown sugar; however, before I popped them in the oven, I sprinkled brown sugar on the tops. My sister, who dislikes sweet potatoes, loved them. I thought that the vanilla was a bit overpowering, but maybe it would have been offset with the brown sugar. Overall, good recipe... maybe next time I will decrease the amount of vanilla.

Corn Casserole I

Huge success at our Thanksgiving dinner! I did cook it for longer than suggested. I also let it sit for at least 30 minutes before serving. It was amazing! I used the exact amounts of ingredients in the original recipe. Excellent!

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
I tried to lean it out by using the lite versions of the soups. Perhaps that was the reason it tasted so bland.

This was very good and very easy. I used beef broth and I actually made another batch using turkey and chicken broth. I added some hot sauce to the broths. It is very important to use quality bread.

Creamy Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
I took others' suggestions and added spinach. I also added more sauce, fresh basil, crushed garlic, and red pepper flakes. The red pepper flakes gave the dish a nice bite. I used whole wheat noodles, fat free cream cheese, and reduced fat moz. cheese . . . and it tasted great! I agree with the others, this is a good base recipe.
