Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
Made as directed, easy to make but very bland. Next time I'll add some all spice, nutmeg and a bit of ginger. I baked in two smaller round pans to make a layer cake and it needed 50 minutes to bake.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
Very good chocolate cake, one of the best out there. Make sure your pans are greased and floured well or your cake will stick, also make sure they are cool before removing from the pan. I tend to make this and then refrigerate overnight before removing from the pans. For the coffee, I'll save a cup from my morning pot and then add 4 TBSP of instant to the 1 cup or regular strength coffee.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I love this recipe, however, I have found that it is much easier to cook on low for 10 hours and turn the slow cooker on before I go to bed the night BEFORE we want it. The next morning, I take a fork and everything falls a part on its own. I add more BBQ sauce, stir and place the crock pot in the fridge and off to work I go. When I get home, I pull the crock pot out, turn it back on high for 2 hours and serve....Letting it sit all day allows for the sauce to soak up into the pork.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
My husband didn't care for it but that's not the recipe's fault as he hates Balsamic, however this gets a big 5 star from me as I absolutely loved it.

Dill Dip III

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
It was a pretty good Dill Dip, would cut the seasoning salt down next time as so many others have suggested. Also you so need to wait at LEAST 24 hours before eating this dip.

Wine Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
This turned out amazing!! Although I did make a few changes. I left the chicken breasts whole and lightly browned them first. Changed the cream of mushroom soup to cream of broccoli. Substituted sour cream for the condensed milk , added fresh garlic and also 1/2 cup of cream cheese. I cooked as directed, removed the chicken after cooking, poured the sauce over pasta, and then placed the whole chicken breast back on each plate that was served. The chicken was so tender and juicy!!! The second time we made this was with canned mushrooms and what a big mistake, sautee fresh mushrooms in butter and this will turn out beautifully!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
Not a fan of this recipe at all. I followed the recipe to the letter and the chicken was dry, the sauce runny, and found that the sauce was a little too sweet. Will not be making this recipe again, what a waste.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
Although easy enough to make, these balls are very time consuming. The first time I made these balls was a nightmare as I didn't freeze the balls. Make sure to freeze the balls prior to dipping in chocolate or else the balls will break apart while dipping and your left with a big mess. These balls are very yummy and you can make so many variations to suite everyones tastebuds...just make sure to freeze first lol.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
This was awesome! However; to me it's not apple pie with out cinnamon. So I added 1/2 TBSP of cinnamon and also 1 tsp of vanilla. My mother-in-law & father-in-law absolutely loved it. It was perfect, I'll never use a different apple pie recipe.

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
Wow This was really good. After reading other reviews, I decided to go with a premade pastry shell and old Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. I wasn't sure if I should add the pickle juice but boy am I glad I did!

Sloppy Joes II

This is my all time favorite recipe for Sloppy Joes. It's a little on the sweet side but I add old Cheddar cheese and the flavors go very nicely together.
