Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
This one is a little wet and vinegar-y for me.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
My family said it was awesome so I am giving it four stars. I personally thought it was a lot like cardboard. Sorry. I will make it again because five against one is a big vote in our house.

Spaghetti Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
My daughter does not like squash casserole but she gave this a thumbs up! The rest of us thought it was the bomb. Thanks!

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Very good recipe. I changed it so I could use what I had in the house: I used 1 cup of wheat flour and 1 cup of self-rising, and added only 1/2 tsp baking powder, no soda, no salt, and then left the rest of the recipe unchanged. If you use wheat flour, you should probably add a little more sweetener.

Rolled Dumplings

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
These were exactly what I was looking for. When I make chicken and dumplings, I usually do the "drop by spoonful" dumplings. My husband wanted the rolled ones, so I tried these and they turned out great. Thanks!

Venison Stew I

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
We loved this stew. We don't eat venison very often, but when I got some stew meat from a friend, I tried this recipe. Excellent is all we can say. We will do this again. Served it with some dinner rolls and butter.

Pancakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I made these with skim milk, but I think that even if I had used whole milk it would have turned out too thin. I added more flour to make it thicker. I also added some vanilla (1 tsp.), because pancakes always taste a little bland to me. And I added chopped pecans (1/2 to 3/4 cup). They were really good with the changes.

Squash Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
Even my daughter liked this one, and that is saying something! I put some cheese and crackers in the mix as well as on top, because who doesn't like cheese, right? Great recipe!

Pastry for Double Pie-Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I used this on top of my chicken pot pie. I usually make a huge dish of it and the only thing that will fit on top is a double crust recipe. It turned out a little thicker than a pie pastry, but worked well on the pot pie. I would probably roll it a little thinner and add little butter to make it flakier and more buttery for a pie. I thought the flavor was a good companion with my pot pie. I also brushed it with a little butter to make it brown a little easier.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
The whole family enjoyed this for Thankgiving. I also used evaporated milk, and some extra spices in the potatoes, but the big hit was the yummy topping! Thanks for the recipe!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Just a basic blueberry pie, good flavor and as easy as any other pie to make. My daughter made this one and used frozen blueberries and frozen pastry. It turned out better than I expected. Great!
