About this Cook
I love to make up new recipes and constantly tweak old ones.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are soups, stir-fry, seafood dishes, and pasta sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom was a wonderful cook, but unfortunately, didn't write down her specialty recipes. I've tried to re-create some of those recipes, but they just don't taste the same. So, I've made sure to write down all the recipes that I create, so that I can share them with family and friends.
My cooking triumphs
I make a wonderful seafood gumbo, marinara sauce, and terrific white chocolate chip/macadamia nut cookies
My cooking tragedies
Cakes that stick in the pan...I'm not the best cake baker

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
These are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever baked! They stay nice and soft and have a wonderful flavor. I didn't change a thing, but I did make the cookies smaller, baking 36 smaller cookies, instead of the huge (18) cookies. Thanks for such a terrific recipe!

Holly's Hummus
I really liked this hummus recipe, however, I did think that the garlic was overpowering...so much so, that I added an additional can of garbanzo beans, hoping that it would dilute the garlic flavor. For me (and I love garlic), it was still too garlicky tasting. However, everyone at my party loved it. Maybe my tastebuds are too sensitive to garlic, perhaps?

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
This recipe was good, although the creamy mixture was a too rich for my taste. When I make this again, I will probably use 1/2 the amount of cream cheese. There was also something missing, but I can't figure out what.
