Stracciatella II
I don't know if I didn't follow the directions properly but after using the immersion blender I had a very unappealing orange mush. Had to drastically improvise after that.

Cornbread Salad II
Sounds strange but soo yummy!! I first discovered this in a woman's magazine & then came here so I don't have 1,003 pages ripped from a magazine in various folders. When I first read the recipe, I thought how bizarre but the reviews were good & I like all the ingredients so I gave it a whirl. I've made this numerous times & it's always a big hit. It's just a wonderful blend of so many fabulous flavors at once. To cut down on the mess, I bake the bacon for 20 min. at 350. Bake the cornbread, leave it cool. I Chop everything the night before & throw together the morning of.

Maria's Pepper Steak
My kids helped me make this tonight. I added peapods for the selective middle-child as he won't eat peppers. I'd definitely cut down on the vinegar, add extra garlic, a little ginger & pepper flakes as some have recommended. I did thicken with cornstarch as we prefer the sauce to cling to the rice. I don't like the whole stir fry veggies, take out & then do the meat & readd. I did the veggies then added the meat. Next time, meat first, then veggies. Meat came out very tender but I bought already cut meat labelled stir fry as I was pressed for time.
