Pumpkin Pie Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Excellent. The dough takes a little work to get it spread out into the entire pan, but makes a wonderful crust when finished. Have made these several times now and my family loves them.

I have made several banana bread recipes over the years and this is by far the best. Be sure and use the full amount of bananas indicated in the recipe.

Sweet Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Just finished making these and they are the best "from scratch" corn muffin I have ever made, and I have tried many. I made the recipe exactly as written and they were just how I wanted them. I made them for breakfast/snacking so the sweetness was fine. All must remember the recipe states "sweet".

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Great recipe as is, but made just a few adjustments for our family's taste. Added 3 cloves of minced garlic with the onion. Instead of using all milk, used 2 cups chicken broth and 2 cups milk. Also added some fresh thyme, which really added to the flavor on the broth. Very quick and easy.

very easy and flavorful. my family all enjoyed it. I did double the sauce as suggested, and added a bit more chicken. Next time I might add some broccoli, and some red or green sliced peppers.

Great recipe, and very easy. I put it together in just a few minutes. Made the recipe as directed but did end up adding extra thousand island dressing as other reviewers suggested.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
Very easy to put together for a basic cobbler. I used a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Like others, I added about 3 cups of the berries. To the batter I did add about 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon. I will use this recipe again, especially if I need to put something together quickly.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
Made exactly as directed and the cake was excellent. My husband was a little leary of it when he saw me putting the marshmallows in the dish (he doesn't care for them) but when it was finished he loved it as well as everyone else. Thinking of trying with other fruit/jello/cake combos.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
I don't usually make homemade frosting as I found good old "Betty Crocker" to always work. I decided to make this for my homemade vanilla cupcakes and it is truly delicious. Worth the time and effort.

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

I attempt to make a corned beef dinner every St. Pat's day and this is by far the best recipe I have ever used. My whole family commented on how good it was. This will be the "keeper" recipe for corned beef and cabbage.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
excellent recipe. So easy. Per our family preferences I did cut back the cream cheese to 1 pkg and thus decreased the sugar. Have made this with and without adding fruit filling and is always a winner

Easy and delicious, what more could you want. Only change I make is replacing the Mountain Dew with apple juice. Just my preference as I never buy the Dew.
