These cookies are so, so delicious. Also, they still come out extremely tasty if you reduce the butter and shortening by about 25%.

Bread Machine Bagels

These are great! The previous two occasions when I tried to make bagels (with other recipes) were disasters, but these have come out great both times I've made them. One note: be careful not to let the egg white drip on the pan when you're coating the bagels, or it'll seep underneath and the bagels will stick to the pan. Great recipe!

Excellent! I agree with other commenters' suggestions to use extra firm tofu and bake it (cubed) at 425 first, although I only did it for 15 minutes rather than 25.

Sooooo goooood! I replaced half the butter with applesauce and added a tsp of vanilla, and... yeah. Awesome!

Excellent! One note--As other commenters have said, the baking time may vary--the bottom of my loaf got pretty dark before it had baked even the minimum 30 minutes, so be sure to keep an eye on it.

Excellent. My only quibble, which I think other reviewers shared, is that the baking times seemed to be too long, so check on them early during both bakings. For the chocolate, we just melted bittersweet chocolate chips and then dipped them.

Delicious! They come out well if you replace 2/3 of the oil with applesauce, too--just reduce the baking time by a few minutes.

WWII Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

They're okay, but I found the molasses flavor to be too strong. Replacing 1/2 c of the shortening with applesauce and just using 1/4 c of shortening works well if you want to make it a bit more healthy.
