Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
My husband loved, loved, loved this! I hadn't made sloppy joes in years and since we've had to cut back on spending in recent months, my mind started going to recipes that were cheap and easy, so of course I thought of sloppy joes. i didn't want to buy the manwich stuff so i decided to go in search of an actual recipe and since my husband doesn't like anything with vegetable chunks i had to rule out several other seemingly good recipes on this site and settled on this one. I'm so happy I did! These were so good and so simple!!! the only thing I added was some shredded swiss on top of the mixture. mmm yum! this is a keeper!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was incredibly delicious. I didn't change a thing. I used reisling for the wine and I definitely think that it is a 'must' step instead of optional to use the wine, it just gives it that extra depth of flavor. It fairly easy as well so it will definitely be going in the make again pile.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
this is amazing! Everyone i make this for raves about it. It is requested constantly by my family. I sprinkle garlic salt on it before the cheese goes on. And you do not have to proof the yeast. Just make sure the water is warm. I even made this as a pizza crust. My family loved it like this as well.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
this pizza is so, so delicious! I find myself craving it all the time! It's extremely simple and easy. I use boboli for the crust and instead of the green onion, i use vidalia onion, but that's just a personal preference. I happen to like mine a bit on the saucier side and I don't measure anything out w/this recipe so I can't really tell you if the measurements are correct, but the pizza itself is amazing! I realized after posting this that i left out the fact that i add bacon as well which sends this pizza right over the moon

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
this is sooo good! i didn't change a thing. my husband was complaining because i wasn't using the taco seasoning packet and he thought it wouldn't taste as good, but he bit into his taco and instantly took back all his prior complaints. I'm going to make a big batch of this so I can just take what I need when i need it. No more packets for us!

Marinated Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
These are absolutely addicting! I keep these on hand for a light snack. this is kindof of a go by taste on the red wine and sugar as some red wines can be a bit more bitter and strong than other kinds so I usually go by how the strong the wine is and then adjust the brown sugar accordingly.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
oh my goodness. this is the best chocolate cake i have ever made!!!! i did modify one thing, i upped the amount of cocoa to one cup as a few reviewers suggested because i simply LOVE chocolate. I think this still would have tasted great w/out the increase and still would have deserved 5 stars tho. thus my rating of 5 stars. I do highly reccommend increasing the cocoa, as i did, for any chocoholics out there cause it sent me into chocolate heaven. hands down best chocolate cake ever

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
These were delicious! I followed other reviewers' advice and served it w/Amy Cilantro Cream Sauce and boy am I glad I did! it just took this recipe to the next level. Oh the only changes i made were that I didn't freeze it and i baked it at 350 for 15 mins instead of deep frying it.

Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
So I made it almost exactly as listed but I did follow other reviewers suggestions and ended up making about half the linguine and the full amount of the sauce. I'm happy I did, if I had halved the sauce too, i would have ended up with way to little. I love sauce :) I also omited the salt and it definitely didnt need it. All that being said I absolutely loved this recipe! I've had it in my recipe box for 2 years but never made it because my husband doesn't like anything w/chunks of tomato in it, so this week he worked 2nd shift and I jumped on the chance to make this. This will now be one of my go to recipes when my husband isn't around. It's also extremely easy and quick to make which is always a plus in my book since I work fulltime and have a very active 3 yr old at home.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
this is the classic chocolate chip cookie. i use twice as much vanilla and it really is an absolute must to have your butter at room temperature! I accidently partially melted my butter in the microwave cause i was in a hurry and ended up w/very flat, very crisp cookies. Definitely not what you want in a chocolate chip cookie.
