Marinated Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
These are absolutely addicting! I keep these on hand for a light snack. this is kindof of a go by taste on the red wine and sugar as some red wines can be a bit more bitter and strong than other kinds so I usually go by how the strong the wine is and then adjust the brown sugar accordingly.

Quinoa Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I was trying to find ways to eat quinoa since it's so good for you. I came upon this recipe and I'm so happy I did! I followed the recipe w/no changes at all. It has a mild flavor, it's not too sweet and not to bland. It was perfect for breakfast.

Purple Monstrosity Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I gave it 4 stars for how it is written, however, I added buttermilk to cut the tartness a bit and this went from a 4 to a 5. Even my husband, who is a picky eater, loved it like this. Don't even get me started on my 3 yr old son. He drained his glass and then told me his tummy hurt cause he drank his smoothie to fast.

Chicken Wraps

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
this is a really wonderful recipe. I made my own teriyaki sauce, since it's so simple to make, and I served it at a bachelorette party. everyone loved it and we just couldn't get enough of them. they were gone w/in 30 mins of making them. simply delicious!

Creamy Carrot Soup

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
This was really yummy! I used an immersion blender right in the pot and I left a few chunks because I love chunks in my soup. I substituted 1/2 & 1/2 and milk for the heavy cream. I wasn't a huge fan of the rosemary so next time I'll leave it out but I've never liked the taste of rosemary, so no surprise there. I also chopped up avocado and threw that in when I was ready to eat it. Made this soup superb!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This was perfect frosting. I made this to put on a baby shower cake and the response to it was great. Better than bakery is what I was told. I did follow the suggestion of switching out half the shortening for unsalted butter so I didn't follow it exactly but close enough for me to feel comfortable rating it 5 stars

Cream of Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
i didn't expect to like this as much as i did. i rated it four stars because as written it seemed a bit bland to me but w/a just a few tweaks it's delicious. I added some garlic powder and sprinkled parmesan cheese into it. just these 2 additions send it over the moon!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
This frosting was amazing!! it is the best frosting i have ever tasted! made it exactly as stated except halved the recipe. this still made more than enough frosting to frost 2 9 inch single layer cakes very generously.

Best Egg Rolls

These are very good egg rolls if you'd like a simple recipe for them. These taste fantastic steamed instead of fried and dipped in Sweet and Sour Sauce 1 from this site.

Oh my goodness! I just finished eating this and just had to rate it right away!! this is absolutely delicious!!! I could eat this all day everyday! granted I would get really fat really quickly but it would almost be worth! I made my own teriyaki sauce and made the 'creole seasoning blend' on this site. simply amazing! loved it! Oh, i also followed the recipe exactly. Perfect as is.

Chinese Noodle Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
My husband loved this so much he even ate the veggies and he's not a veggie eater! so i was thrilled of course. my 3 yr old son loved it as well. I made my own teriyaki sauce (so simple). The one thing, which isn't a complaint on the recipe itself, is this says it's only 4 serving but it's more like 8 or more. I was eating this for lunch for days after I made it, so if you have a medium or small size family definitely cut the amounts down by about half. Also, do yourself a favor and cook the noodles before adding it in

Crepes

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
I have made these 2 different ways. Exactly as described and taking another reviewers advise about making it w/1 egg and 1 egg yolk, and butter instead of olive oil. The second way, making the changes, came out 5 stars but the way it is written came out maybe 3 1/2 stars. The texture and taste were just a bit off and I found the batter much harder to work w/when flipping it, I basically tore it all to pieces. But with the changes, it was absolutely perfect. I had no problems flipping and the texture was spot on

This was very good! My boyfriend loved it and so did I. It had just the right amount of seasoning. It was a very clean tasting dish. the only changes i made were I added a dash of llime juice to the marinade itself, did not use lemon, and added red peppers

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
These are sooo good! I have made them several times for guests and each time I've gotten rave reviews. I do cut down the butter to less than a 1/4 cp. hence the 4 star rating instead of a 5. The original recipe call for to much butter. But other than that this is a perfect quick dessert. I like it warm and cold.
