The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Good basic recipe!! After everyones comments here is my tweak; Leave the sugar alone! When you roll them out using the confectioners sugar to prevent sticking that finishes off the sweetness. Roll the dough in one direction at a time...don't try to go back and forth like you would with pie dough and yes get that dough well chilled..overnite is good.Reduce oven heat to 375* and cook for 7-8 mins till the edges are just golden.I like vanilla;I increased it to 2 tsp. For those that had too puffy cookies decrease baking powder to 1 or 1-1/2tsp especially if it's fresh...a little old then leave it at 2tsp. Slower cooking(ie:lower temp) reduces the amount of rising you get that distorts shapes also. I got 4 doz cookies from the recipe. Good recipe and Thanks!!

Hot Spiced Cider
I was cold and looking for something different(not the usual coffee, tea,or soup)to drink to warm up. I followed the directions to a T except for the allspice.(all I had was ground so used it but only 1/2 the amount called for.)All I know is it tastes wonderful.....I'm addicted; and so is my son who doesn't like his cider warm. Thanks so much for a fabulous tasting and incredibly easy recipe.

Easy Whipped Cream
Mmmmm Tasty! Didn't have any confectioners sugar; what was a girl to do? I did have Splenda.....well I used the same proportion of Splenda as the Confectioners sugar and whipped that baby up.....Whipped up well producing softer peaks but was still a keeper...who needs confectionary sugar anway!
