Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
This frosting is so easy, and so delicious! It does make a ton though; I halved the recipe and still had more than enough to frost and fill a 9-inch round cake. SUPER chocolatey; I may cut back a bit on the cocoa and even the sugar next time for a milder taste. But no doubt, there will be a next time.

Brunch Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
These were my first scones, and I don't have reason to try another recipe. My family and I love them. They are moist and tender. I used chocolate chips instead of currants, and substituted skim milk for whole. Delicious!

Strawberry/Rhubarb Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
This was my first strawberry rhubarb pie ever, and it turned out incredible. My family swears it is the best pie they've ever tasted. I did add a couple tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken it up on the advice of other reviews

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
These cookies seem to be foolproof; I have made them numerous times with substituted ingredients because I was out of one thing or another, and they have never turned out badly! I used to have problems with them falling, but I lowered the temperature and cooked them for longer (about 15 minutes) and now they rise beautifully and stay that way. And they smell like heaven!

I was not expecting such a great crust from such a simple recipe! I made it exactly as written and it was perfectly flaky and tender.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I make these all the time, for home, school, or any event. They are delicious out of the oven, but don't keep for very long. Best eat them in the first day or two.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This cake was fun to make, and my first homemade cake! It turned out deliciously moist, and was devoured as soon as it got to the table. It did take me a while to get through though, probably only because I haven't done this yet

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
WOW. These are quick to prepare and taste incredible and moist. I used blueberry yogurt instead of plain; it was a nice addition.
