Cindy's Awesome Clam Chowder

This is the BEST clam chowder! It is so easy to make. The first time I made as the recipe stated and it was super. The second time I followed some of the reviews and added extra clam juice and it was fantastic!!! So much better than the chain restaurant's clam chower! Thanks Cindy this really is AWESOME clam chowder!!

Hot German Potato Salad III

We really liked this warm potato salad! It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. Perfect side dish for brats & kraut! It's a great alternative to roasted potatoes on the grill!

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Really a great recipe and it makes light fluffy cupcakes that are great sans frosting! I put chocolate frosting on some for the kids but left some plain also. I used butter and creamed it well with the sugar. Also, I beat in the eggs one at a time. Lastly, I started and ended with flour per another user's advice. This will be the "go to" in the future for cupcakes & cakes!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

My husband was a little skeptical when I was making this for dinner, but we both agree that this recipe is the only way we'll make asparagus now! I too browned the butter and it's excellent!

I can't believe how easy and tasty this was! Perfectly cooked and not sweet! I did forget to score the top and maybe that's why it wasn't syrupy... at any rate, I will definately make this again!

Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

I got this recipe a few years ago from a friend and thought it should be on this site... and it is! :-) This is the most delicious coffee cake ever... especially that cheese cake center! YUM! I have made this many times and always get rave reviews and people begging for the recipe! Just be careful not to over bake as it will get dry.

My Best Clam Chowder

Really a great chowder... I would give it 5 but we feel it needs just a little something more so I'm going to give it 4 stars... but still a great chowder! I followed the suggestion of using the bacon grease to sautee the onions, celery, carrots & potatoes. I also used whole milk vs. half and half but I do that with every chowder recipe. We had a blizzard the day I made this and didn't realize I was out of red wine vinegar and no stores were open, so we took a little out and stirred in balsamic... we did the same for rice vinegar and sherry... finally we found that Worchestershire sauce was really good... I added maybe a half tablespoon as it is a very strong flavor. Definately a keeper! I'm just going to see if I can figure out what is missing... it's very slight but we feel it just needs a little something... just not sure what it is yet! This is certainly worth a try! :-)

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

My husband accidently bought generic marshmallow creme and this fudge still turned out PERFECT!!! I did follow the advice of cooking everything on low until melted and then only on medium heat. Will DEFINATELY make this again!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

I love this recipe! I think it would also be good with almond extract and will try that next. VERY easy to spread as we first used it for a playdate activity! :-) Definately a keeper and the one I will use!
