About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy pasta dishes as I find they are the easiest to make. I used to be known for my stuffed manicotti. I also make a delicious seafood enchilada.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Thanksgiving each year instead of having a traditional turkey dinner, we pick a theme and make dinner based on that. We have done everything from Thai to desserts to Medieval (featuring venison) to hors d'ourves and the list goes on (we have been doing it for about 20 years).
My cooking tragedies
I made a baked ziti with pesto sauce one time. After popping this dish in the over and began cleaning up my mess, I discovered the jar of pesto sauce. Did I mention it was unopened?

This was a delicious, easy recipe. I like my guac spicy, so I added quite a bit of hot sauce and extra cayenne, but it super easy to adjust to your own taste.

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce
This was amazing! I have never made steak before, so I was really nervous to make this. But it was wonderful. My boyfriend said it was the best dinner he'd ever had.
