Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Yum! Okay, I generally follow recipes exactly, but I made tiny changes to this one. Firstly, I added a splash of vanilla and I used natural peanut butter. Secondly, they were NOT finished after 8 minutes, so I ended up baking them for about 15. They came out great! Oh, and I also recommend adding white chocolate chips, but maybe not if you're using regular (sweetened) peanut butter. Make sure you have milk in the fridge before attempting to eat these!!

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
I used fresh strawberries (which I recommend if at all possible), but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and loved the results! Perfect for my ladies' night potluck.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
Amazing! I didn't make the icing, but they were good enough without it. Whatever you do, don't add or subtract anything from this recipe! The batter is a little scary (very thick and dry-seeming), but the zucchini releases its moisture as it bakes. Don't add any eggs, and don't overbake! I actually took them out a little earlier than I normally would, which was a good thing because they came out absolutely perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
I make this salad all the time now! Very easy and very good; just make sure you use fresh, perfectly ripe pears. I also switch up which blue cheese I use (Danish blue, gorgonzola, etc) depending on what I have on hand.

Chicken Pot Pie IV

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
SO GOOD! I had been searching for a good pot pie recipe, and I love this one. Admittedly, it isn't a traditional chicken pot pie filling, but it is so delicious and creamy that I don't care. All I did was to cut back on the milk, as I found it a bit runny, and I've experimented with my cheeses. Even better the next day!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This was delicious - the densest, richest chocolate cake I've ever made! You definitely don't need large slices. I served with vanilla bean ice cream and it was great.

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
This was so good! I served it at our Mother's Day dinner and it was a huge hit. The crust was really nice and cookie-ish; it was a little hard to cut but I didn't mind. I LOVED the filling! The white chocolate flavor is quite subtle, but it tastes wonderful. The fruits I used for the topping were blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and kiwi. I know alot of people didn't "bother" with the glaze, but I made it and was very happy with how it turned out. The fruit was glossy and beautiful and it really added to the presentation. I will make this again! (I've already given out the recipe.) Thanks!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
I loved this! I ended up having to use a little bit more mayo than the recipe calls for to get the creamy texture I wanted (almost 1 cup total). I also omitted the onion, used dark raisins and red grapes, and substituted toasted almonds for the pecans. It tasted wonderful the first day and even better the second. Thanks!

Greek Style Potatoes

They didn't get as lemony as I would have liked - I guess I'll never learn that secret! lol. Tasted good anyways.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
I used bison rather than turkey (it's still low in fat, plus it's what I had on hand). My boyfriend absolutely loved these, and I just thought they were ok. They smelled great!

Crispy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This turned out great! I subbed half of the cornmeal with fine bread crumbs, and as I didn't have any chili powder, I just used a pinch of cayenne. I also added some garlic powder. The chicken was cooked perfectly and wonderfully crispy. Thanks so much!

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
This recipe was a really great starting point. I ended up using 1 tbsp of butter and about 1 tsp of prepared minced garlic, which I sauteed with the asparagus for about 5 minutes. I then added some sea salt and fresh squeezed lemon. I cooked for another couple of minutes(to the crispness I liked), then served with a little bit more fresh lemon. Delicious!

Fabulous! Now a staple in my kitchen. Great both with a savory dinner (like roast chicken), or in the morning with butter and jam. Thanks for the recipe!

I love this recipe! I play with it and add different ingredients almost every time - honey, sunflower seed butter, coconut... pretty much whatever I have in my pantry. Thanks!!

These were absolutley fantastic - they looked just like the picture and tasted great too. They stayed soft for as long as they lasted. I was told they were better than many store-bought bakery cookies out there! Thanks for the recipe!!

I wasn't terribly impressed with this recipe. I didn't really enjoy the flavor combination, and I probably wont make it again. Oh well! C'est la vie!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
The herb rub smelled really great while I was making it, but my boyfriend and I were a little bit disappointed with the end product. The roast was cooked perfectly, but there was something a little "off" with the flavors. Maybe I'll play around with it and try again!

Italian Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
Awesome recipe! I took these in to my Italian class and everyone loved them. The texture is more cake-like than cookie-like. They stayed soft for days and were melt-in-your-mouth every time. I added some almond extract to the glaze, and the flavour was perfect. I will make these again.
