Brilliant Sauteed Broccoli

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I made this exactly as written and thought it was delicious. I was a little concerned about mixing brown sugar and parmesan cheese, but it turns out that it's a great combination! Thanks for the great recipe!

Easy Baking Powder Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
These were perfect with stew for dinner last night. I followed the recipe exactly (except for using skim milk since that is all I ever have in the house) The outside got a little crisp and beautifully golden and the inside stayed soft...yum! They didn't need butter or any kind of spread, I could have eaten them by themselves and been happy. Really easy and delicious.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Yummy! I marinated the chicken for four hours and then I sauteed the chicken tenders on the stove top since the weather didn't cooperate for using the grill. I dumped the pineapple rings into the leftover marinade and then sauteed them as well...(cook them really well since they were in the same marinade as the raw chicken). They carmelized up beautifully. Then I boiled the remaining marinade and put it over rice...the chicken, pineapple and rice together were delicious!

Colonial Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
I thought these were really good. I did throw in a shake of cloves and one of ginger. Then when the bars were done and still hot I poked holes in them with a toothpick and smeared them with soft butter mixed with cinnamon and sugar for a little added flavor and moistness. I did use a whole 8 oz of cream cheese in the frosting and left everything else the was super creamy and delicious!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Fabulous recipe! Used devil's food cake, chocolate frosting and melted 2 big dark chocolate candy bars with a couple tsp of shortening for the coating. Froze the balls and held them on a toothpick over the bowl of chocolate and poured the chocolate over with a spoon until coated so I didn't get crumbs in the remaining chocolate. They looked beautiful. Eat them frozen...they are fantastic!

Six Week Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
Have made this recipe for years (in smaller quantities) and it's the only bran muffin recipe that really tastes like a treat. I always add vanilla and use Bran Flakes for the smaller quantity of bran cereal and All Bran for the larger one. Sometimes throw a streusel topping on for fun. Simply delicious...people can't believe it's a bran muffin!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This is my absolute favorite banana bread recipe ever. Moist and sweet and just plain delicious. I usually make three loaves: one without the cinnamon, one with cinnamon and one with cinnamon and chocolate chips. The kids love them all and couldn't say which is their favorite. They disappear very quickly!
