Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
I didn't care for this recipe. I followed the recipe and instructions and to me, these rolls just tasted like yeast. If you are looking for a quick bread recipe, try the quick and easy pizza crust recipe from this site. I've used that one with great success and rave reviews to make focaccia, garlic bread, cheese bread, breadsticks, as well as pizza crust and it doesn't disappoint... ever. Takes less time too. I would skip this one and go straight to the other. It's much closer to a traditional bread, just takes less time.

Oatmeal Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
I was a little skeptical in the beginning but I loved these pancakes! I've been trying to eat more oatmeal and this is a fun and tasty way to do it. The only modifications I made were out of necessity due to the bareness of my kitchen right now so I'm not going to mention them. Besides, I have faith that the recipe would be great as written. These pancakes taste nutty and have texture and are just delightful. They are filling tho so a small recipe goes a long way. I love it! Thank you so much!

Hamantashen II

These were really good! Easy to make and tasty too. The filling I used was cherry preserves and I drizzled melted chocolate on top. People really enjoyed them.

Broccoli Chicken Braid

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
Used a pastry crust instead of the crescent rolls. I think that should help with the "doneness" problems other users had. Made some other changes, but that's only because I can never follow a recipe without playing with it :) I did add some sour cream to the sauce to add some more flavor. But the other changes were well within the spirit of the recipe. The only problem with the pastry crust was that I rolled it too thin and it was hard to braid. So next time, I'm thinking to do it smaller and thicker.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I liked this pie crust, and have used it several times. The only problem I have with it is that it is difficult for me to roll it very thin. As a result, the crust becomes too prominent in my pies. My Husband has rolled it thin enough, but it took him a long time and muscle power to get it right. Has a good taste tho. And is very flaky.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
It is a little oily which is why it doesn't get full five stars. But It's a great, fast recipe. I use white chocolate chips and it always goes over really well.

Sunburst Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I've made this recipe a few times now and I love it. I make it for our youth group and it always goes fast. I haven't done it with the icing yet, but maybe someday. It's a great, simple recipe which doesn't take too much effort. I do reduce the sugar and I add a little extra lemon juice (about half again extra). But it's a great recipe. I love it!!!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
Loved these cookies! I cut the sugar because hubby doesn't like things sweet, and honestly, they don't need that much sugar. I did, however put in chocolate chips because I had them and not raisins. Loved it! will make again.

Marshmallow Treats

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I used marshmellow cream because I needed something kosher for my jewish youth group. It worked great because when it melted, it was uber sticky and was easy to press down even without a buttered spatula. I'm so pleased. It's a little grainy before it melts, but it's fine once its in there with the butter. I also used vanalla like others suggested. I love it! I hope the kids save me a piece!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
I was looking for a simple recipe to take to youth group... this is great because I had everything already. Here's a hint, if the dough is crumbly, kneed it with your hands. it melts the butter and makes it easier to work with. Loved it tho!
