Greek Salad I

This recipe was great. We added more vegetables (an additional pepper and more olives). The dressing made more than we needed so next time we will increase the veggie content and leave the dressing on the side so we can have fresh Greek salad the next day.

Tomato Sauce

This was easy and tastes great. The ingredients are fool proof. I added half a red onion (sautéed with garlic and butter) and used a mix of tomatoes from the garden (red, yellow, green). I also used brown sugar and fresh herbs (liberal amounts). I had plenty to freeze for the winter. I took out a cup to use as bruschetta after about 15 minutes of cooking time.

German Apple Cake I

Be warned, this is a moist, dense, cake. Swapped in apple sauce in place of the cooking oil, no doubt adding to the moistness, but man, did it ever imbue the cake with fabulous appleness.

Buttery Cinnamon Cake

This is a nice one-shot dessert. One-shot being that I felt it was tastiest served fresh with the sauce straight off the stove top. Otherwise the cake itself was on the dry side - not that this is necessarily a bad thing, as the dryness works well with the sauce - and wasn't quite as enjoyable the second time around. I will definitely make it again, but will reserve its preparation for times when enough people will be on hand to enjoy it fresh.

Delicious. The best tarts I have ever made and close to the best I have ever tasted. It's this latter point that prevents me from giving the recipe 5 stars.
