My husband & I
About this Cook
I am a young, married, working mother who is most likely cooking, spending time with my daughter and husband, or doing something outdoors on the weekends. After work I like to try a new recipe at least once a week. I feel like it is a constant struggle balancing work life and providing home-cooked meals during the week.. but I'm doing it one way or another!
My favorite things to cook
If I have to saute garlic... I love it! I always incorporate my own personality into dishes, and include wine whenever possible! I love cooking pasta dishes... but with a family I am now always searching for something new I can throw in the crockpot!
My cooking tragedies
A tbsp of salt in cookies - instead of a tsp ... YIKES!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread
Five stars even though it isn't truly whole wheat bread. I followed directions exactly, and it is delicious! I make bread in the bread machine weekly but this is the first time doing it all by hand and it turned out perfectly. Will definitely make again!

Turkey Sloppy Joes
Two stars for healthier, but did not taste much like a sloppy joe. We actually dumped it out, sorry. The idea for the sauce was good, but overall the whole thing was just not for us.

Most Requested Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Followed it exactly and they were definitely dry. The best bite is when you get a few chocolate chips, if not then it is very bland. I did add a tsp of cinnamon but still just not enough flavor. My kids will gobble them up because of the chocolate, and I do like the flaxseed added! Probably wouldn't make again.
