Our 3 grandkids call me Granny because that's what I wanted to be called. My husband and I live on a small hobby farm and we own a screen printing business together. My favorite past time is gardening and feeding our many critters, but horseback riding is my ultimate therapy.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, Chinese, Mexican ~ especially fajitas, Tri-tip on the grill and Granny's special Sloppy Joes. Also love making Stromboli and giving away.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving Dinner with all the fixin's of course. Everyone chips in to help and having a good bottle of wine to share always helps add to the festive atmosphere.
My cooking triumphs
Beef Wellington ~ 1st time was a total success. I even made cut outs of pastry and decorated the outside of the crust. It looked like a picture out of Betty Crocker!
My cooking tragedies
Can't remember anything I would call a "tragedy", but in the lines of cooking I once forgot to remove a huge tupperware bowl from the oven during preheat...needless to say, I had a pile of melted plastic dripping off the racks and onto the bottom. Took a long time to clean it all off and the kitchen smelled pretty awful for days.
