Alfredo Sauce

Can I just say...wow! Followed recipe exactly (except when I read one clove of garlic...i use 4...always)...except I was looking for spinach alfredo..so prior to making the sauce as described, I heated olive oil, garlic, crushed red pepper then sauteed spinach in that mixture..set aside. Then, in same pan followed recipe to the letter..added my spinach as the last step...so good..best alfredo I have ever had..ty so much for sharing. After reading some of the reviews...especially those that said this was bland...I feel like I must note that Alfredo is a cheese sauce...and is definitely dependent on the cheese one chooses to use..I would imagine the original poster, as I, used a good cheese as a base which is why there was no need for "extras" to make it taste good. :)

World's Best Lasagna

Normally I am not even a huge Lasagna fan..I come from a long line of Italian cooks and I have my favorites...Lasagna has never been on of them..but this recipe with a tweak or two is oh so good..My family raved and it actually made me sad when I finished the last of the leftovers :)For the record...2 cloves of garlic must be a typo...I think I used two bulbs. halve the sugar and the salt...use fresh basil instead of dried and quintuple the amount....triple the fresh parsley..be sure to use the flat leaf variety..and now we are talking ...and do NOT..let me repeat..do NOT omit the fennel..that gives it the quintessential Lasagna flavor. Over all, I want to thank Johnchandler for sharing...he has made a Lasagna lover and maker out of me :)

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

When I read the recipe for this frosting I was excited to make it...then I read the reviews and was a little worried but decided to go ahead and follow the recipe to the letter. I mean its frosting..if it doesn't turn out, toss it and start over, right? If followed exactly this is the best frosting ever! It is not runny by any stretch of the imagination, in fact while I was folding the cream cheese mixture and the wipped cream together it stopped my mixer several times and I had to help it along by hand. The only thing I can figure out is that those that have said so did not whip their cream long enough. Try it; I don't think you will be disappointed.

Easy Baked Tilapia

I was extremely liberal with the seasonings and used bird's eye Nomrandy blend for the veggies. This was by far the best tilapia dish I have made and wow! so easy. Thank you for a great recipe!

Creamy Banana Bread

I substituted sour cream for the cream cheese. very moist and delicious...I only have one bread pan, so i mixed left over batter and nut mixture with some milk and made pancakes....yum!!!!

Apple Pie

This was my first pie and it turned out perfect. Great recipe. I did use 6 cups of apple instead of 7 and I followed someone's suggestion of lowering temp after 25 minutes. People were fighting over the last piece.
