Megan's Granola

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This is good stuff. I did make 1/3 of the recipe and it made plenty. I baked it for 15 min, flipped it, and baked it 15 min more. It does not come out of the oven cripy, it is soft and gets crispy and slightly clumpy as it cools. *I also made one batch with Pumpkin Pie Spices and dried blueberries. It was delish.

Key Lime Pie VIII

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
Totally delicious. Once I had 1/2 a cup of key limes, I tasted the juice and it was soooo tart that I decided to use regular limes for the other half. I also only used 1/2 of an 8oz container of Cool Whip and it filled up a deep dish pan. I also used the Graham Cracker Crust recipe from the site.

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
This is essentially the exact same recipe that my Nana gave me years ago. It is easy and fun to make, and pretty to look at. However, it is really time consuming. It's a crowd pleaser.

Date Nut Bread

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
This bread is super tasty and easy to make. Tip: If you chop the nuts in the food processor first & then chop the dates, they don't get mushy.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
I thought this pie was fine, not great. I did add 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg. It is very syrupy and so although it tasted good & looked lovely, it was a little too wet for my taste.

Amazing Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This was a bit bland for my family. Right before I served it, I had my daughter and husband taste it and we all agreed it needed something more. I ended up adding 1/2 c. of high quality tomato sauce and topping the dish with some Romano cheese and extra pine nuts.

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
We REALLY did not care for this shortcake. It turned out fluffy and just slightly odd tasting. The consistency was off. I guess I was looking for more substance and flavor.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
The icing was good, but the rolls do not taste like Cinnabons. They are too labor intensive for the finished product. We made 12 and between us ate one and a half. We tossed the rest.
