About this Cook
I'm a 27 year old actor, singer, artist, marketing coordinator, and wife. Being so busy with work as well as creative pursuits means most of my cooking has to be done quickly, but I absolutely love diving into a big culinary project whenever I have time!
My favorite things to cook
I love making things up based on my self-education in the kitchen. I really should start writing things down! I try to keep healthy foods as well as vegetarian dinners in the mix. I really enjoy baking sweets as well as breads, and think there's not much that beats the smell of something delicious cooking in the Crock Pot on an autumn day!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family was REALLY into Italian food when I was growing up! My mother is a great cook, and I am grateful for everything she has taught me.
My cooking triumphs
Last Christmas was the first I took a dessert to. Everyone in the family is really into food, and most of them are fantastic cooks. My moment of glory came when my aunt informed me that the cake I had made was better than sex!
My cooking tragedies
The only time I had to throw something away was when I made a horrible, too-salty shrimp dish. I was following the recipe, though, so I blame Nigella! ;)

Hot Chocolate
Complex and tasty. I added a pinch of chili powder, which was delicious. Rather than straining the final product, as someone else suggested, be sure to temper the egg before adding it to the hot mixture, and you'll have no lumps!
