Crazy Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
The cake was okay. It turned out better than i expected, although it wasn't very sweet. The cake was a little dry on the inside. It didn't taste bad, it just isn't my idea of chocolate cake.

Chocolate Frosting III

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This is a great recipe. I was very happy with how it turned out. I did reduce the amount of milk to 5 tabelspoons. It was rich, chocolatey, and better than from the store. I would definately use this again.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
Great muffins. Some of the best that i have ever made. I did replace the butter with oil to make the muffins more moist. I also added a few dashes of cinnamon to the batter. When i made the brown sugar topping i also added a little coconut sprinkle to the top of each, and they turned out great. I will make these again.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
This turned out really good. When i make this again I will thicken the sauce with corn startch while it is still in the crockpot. It would make a great sauce to serve on top of rice with the chicken. My husband loved this, and i will make this again. It was quick and easy.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This turned out really well. I like the flavor and texture. Next time i make it i will use vitamin D milk instead of skim milk. I think that would help to make it a little thicker. I will definately make this again.

French Onion Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I ended up making this recipe twice. The first time i added the milk, and it came out a little thinner than i would have liked. The second time i made it I cut the milk out completely, and i loved it. It was a huge hit at my Chirstmas party.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This turkey came out pretty good. My only complaint was mine was finished cooking in only 3 hours (and it was stuffed). I ended up taking it out of the oven, and putting it back in later. Otherwise it came out pretty good.

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Overall hte cheesecake came out pretty good, and everyone liked it. I had a hard time with the crust when i baked it, and i prefer a grahm cracker crust instead of what is used here. The filling tasted good, but mine was a little runny in the very center. I will make again, but with differen crust, and a few more minute in the oven. I also find it helpful to but a pan full of water under the cheesecake in the oven as it cooks. It helps with the cracking.

Double Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This pie came out really well. It is very rich, and very sweet. I would recommend cutting back on the sugar just a little. Other than that it was great.

Pastry for Single-Crust Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
My biggest complaint with this recipe, is that it doesn't state how long to bake it. The recipe i was using just said use a baked pie crust. I baked mine at 450 degrees for 12 minutes and turned out okay.

Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I don't like ham, but this was great. It was so easy and simple. The ham came out so tender that it just fell off of the bone when i tried to get it out of the slow cooker. My ham was a little large for my pot, so i justed basted it with the juices every few hours to keep it moist. This will definately be my ham recipe for all of my family get togethers.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This stuffing turned out great. The only thing that i would change is the amount of sausage that was used. It has good flavor, but it was a little to meaty for my tastes. Next time i will also add more apple to the mix. It gives it a little bit of a sweeter flavor.

Crescent-Wrapped Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Oh my god this is a great recipe. It was so simple and quick. My guests loved it. My only warning ti make sure that the seams on your dough are sealed well. I had a little leakage from one of them, other than that it was perfect.

Slow Cooker Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This really turned out aweful. I had high hopes after reading other reviews, but i found it just spicey and bland. My family wouldn't eat it, so i ended up adding a jar of salsa, corn, and black beans to make it more of a taco soup dish that i served with sprinked cheese and sour cream (tortillas on the side) That came out pretty good, and has since been requested again.

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This was fantastic! I however added a lot more garlic than the recipe called for. I also added a handfull of whole garlic cloves. It took about 7 minutes longer to cook with the whole garlic cloves. Next time i make this i will also try to add some fresh steamed veggies to the mix!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
Everyone is right there is not enough filling for one pie. You need to double the filling to make a true french silk pie. I also strongly agree with other reviewers that you need to whip the egg whites and sugar to a thick consistancey then add that to your chocolate mixture. This is a great recipe. It was fast and easy to make. I will use this again.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
WOW this is fantastic. The only things I did differently is I did cook the turkey breast in 1 cup of chicken broth in the bottom of the slow cooker. I also put a few pads of butter in the bottom of the slow cooker. To add my own little touch I also minced up some fresh garlic. I rubbed the garlic on top of the turkey breast, and added some to the bottom of the slow cooker. The drippings and broth from the bottom of the pan can be turned into a great gravy. My husband loved this recipe, and asked if we make out Thanksgiving turkey this way.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
This recipe was good, and turned out well. I smelled so good while i was baking it, but I thought it was a little dry. It was definately not over cooked, but maybe that's just pound cake.
