Chicken Breast Cutlets with Artichokes and Capers

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2014
This dish was really fast and easy to prepare. It reheated well too. I used artichoke bottoms as that was what I had. I had requests to make it again. I may just decrease the salt, I found it a little salty.

Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2014
Excellent! I made enough for just one pie (serving cut to 8) Decreased sugar slightly as per other reviewers and it was perfect. Might even try with the full sugar next time as it was very far from too sweet

Excellent salad, love the dressing. I have used it now on a number of salads and keep a fresh batch in the fridge.

Grilled Vegetables with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
I followed the recipe. The eggplant soaked up a ton of oil. Rather just grill the vegetables plain if you really want their flavours to shine.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
Yes! This is the cake I've been looking for! It is super moist, and has a very distinct cocoa flavour, not necessarily chocolaty. It takes just a few minutes to make, and keeps well for several days.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Excellent! Because I'm lazy to roll out the dough, I press it directly into the pan, but be sure to press it in really thin to get a good result. I also blind bake it for a bout 15 minutes at around 375.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
Delicious. I used coconut instead of walnuts since I didn't have, and i'll do that again. I followed someone's advise about the baking soda, but won't do that again. 1 tsp was too much and I could taste it, and my cookies didn't flatten out at all.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
These are quite delicious, and very easy to make! I found them to be a little too sweet and chocolaty - Next time I will add about an extra cup of oats and half the amount of chocolate filling.

Mom's Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Excellent! I also used bagged pre-shredded vegetables. The coleslaw came out just the way you get it in deli's. There is a lot of dressing once the salad sits for a while, but that's also how it is when you buy it. Definitely keeping this one!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This recipe was fabulous. I'd read so many review of breaking, sticky, difficult to use fondant, this one was terrific. I added about 1.5 times the amount of icing sugar to get a better consistency. I wonder if friging it before using it would make it a little more rigid. Also the taste is excellent!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This was a pretty great recipe. Super simple and quick to put together, very versitile in that anything can be thrown in to add to the dish. I made this with potatoes, cellery, carrot, onion, and garlic. I will definitely make this again.

Hearty Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
I haven't made this recipe yet, but I believe it is the one I have been looking for, for months! This was a family favorite growing up and what made it so much simpler, was that we made it in the microwave. I believe the folowing is what we used for microwave cooking: Microwave at high power for 6-8 minutes. Top the dish with the cheese and tomato. Microwave at high power for 2 more minutes, and let stand for 3 minutes before serving
