About this Cook
Full time professional and part time student.
My favorite things to cook
Family recipes and healthier versions of favorite/classic dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was growing up, I would sometimes help my mother cook. She explained what she was doing to me, and why she was donig that. it was a good way for me to improve my lipreading skills, and use my observation skills.
My cooking triumphs
Made stuffed bell peppers with turkey, I've never made ANY kind of stuffed bell peppers, and they came out GREAT. So good! It was a throw together recipe that one of my friends gave me.
My cooking tragedies
I forgot I was cooking rice once, and I burned the bottom of the pan. =(

Pasta and Peas
Super-easy to make, and the basic ingredients are fanastic to start with! I'd recommend adding some more veggies and/or seasoning if you want a bit more of a flavor. Overall, it was great.

Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Delicious! I turned the broiler on too high, so my crusts were a bit burnt, so keep an close eye on the heat of the broiler! Other than that, it was delicious. I had it with tomato soup, and it was a nice way of jazzing up an old classic. I would defnitely try adding in a mix of Italian cheeses in it, and perhaps a bit more seasoning in it to jazz it up a bit more.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken
It was my first recipe from this site that I tried, and it came out great! I would probably adjust it a bit more to give myself a bit more freedom in playing with the recipe, but it's a great starter!
