I found this dish to be a whole lot of work for a mediocre result. My whole family thought it just tasted like odd bread with bbq sauce. Ordinarily I wouldn't post a negative response, but I made this based upon all the stellar reviews, so I just think it's only fair readers see another opinion. It was edible but by no means meatlike.

Spinach Chickpea Curry

I took the advice of others and toasted the tofu first. What a wonderful, satisfying meal! I doubled the 4 servings recipe for the 5 of us thinking of having leftovers for my daughter and I to have for lunch tomorrow--there isn't any left! Fabulous vegetarian fare.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Heavenly! The aroma while it cooked made my children hover around the kitchen, I kept telling them, "it's just a chicken!" LOL My husband has been requesting it ever since. I'm back here today to get the recipe so I can use it for our Thanksgiving turkey.

Naan

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

My family liked this recipe but we didn't 'love' it. I was hoping for restaurant quality as our local Indian restaurant just changed owners and is no longer very good :( I will make this again but it won't become a staple.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Very easy, smelled fabulous while cooking. The secret to Southern flavor tho is the bbq sauce and I have not found a really good sauce yet. But my family, who did not benefit from a childhood in the South, absolutely devoured it.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

My family LOVED this. My husband called it "restaurant quality." From a slow cooker!! I read all the comments and proceeded like this: I used London broil cuz that's what i always use for stroganoff. I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned. I used red wine in place of the white wine and water; beef needs red wine, not white. I opted for the suggestion to replace the sour cream with 4 oz. of cream cheese and 8 oz. of sour cream (added 30 minutes before serving). I whisked a couple of tablespoons of cornstarch with some of the sauce and whisked that mixture back into the pot right before the addition of the sour cream/cream cheese. The sauce ended with a perfect consistency and exceptional flavor. I served it with a spinach salad. This is a real keeper!

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

This was easy and looked great. The family loved it. I personally didn't care for the beer taste and I prefer a yeastier flavor. I had to add quite a bit of flour to make it work--I doubled the recipe so maybe that is why. I highly recommend it for ease and if you like the beer flavor.

Hearty Garlic Potato Soup

A great soup! I added a half can of whole kernel corn; sauteed the sausage/onions in a tblsp. of olive oil and did not drain them; and doubled the garlic. It smelled fabulous while cooking and my family loved it. I can't wait to serve it in a pumpkin for an autumn gathering!
