Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
My family really needed to use up some peaches so I picked this recipe since I figured I could freeze some. I made a healthier version by using whole wheat flour for a half of the total flour, mostly unsweetened applesauce for the oil, and using anout 1-1 1/2 cups of sugar. Still, they were very moist. Next time for a little more flavor, I'll add some ground nutmeg. I wouldn't go out of my way to make these, unless I had some too ripe peaches. Pretty good!

Juicy Peach Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I LOVED this recipe. (TIP: boil a pot of water and stick the peaches in for about 20 seconds. The skins will peal right off.) this peach crisp recipe is so versatile. I used a splash of vanilla and a splash of almond extract, about 8 medium sized peaches, and about 1/2 cup less sugar. To the peach mixture, I added a splash of fresh lemon juice and a tablespoon of flour because my peaches were super juicy. Awesome, I plan on making this many times in the future.

Sunshine Ice Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
Made this for Father's Day. It was so easy to do. I made a homemade reduced fat graham cracker crust, and used fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt and orange sherbert. I left off the whipped cream and orange slices but definetely used toasted coconut. Everybody raved about this, you can't mess it up.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I've tried all kinds of cookie recipes and I've finally found the keeper. I will never use a different recipe. I followed this recipe exactly as stated. Froze most of them for later because I love frozen chocolate chip cookies. So good, thanks!

BREAKSTONE'S Cucumber-Dill Salad

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This recipe was just okay. I let the cucumbers sit in a colander for about an hour hoping most of the water would drain off, but the dressing was still a little watery. You must you use fresh dill, and also be sure to eat the day you make it because the cucumbers will loose their crunch. Probably won't make again, but thanks!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Soooo moist and good. Made these muffins/bread today and I was so happy I did. I used 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead. They were plenty sweet. I also left out the chocolate chips just because I rather have pure pumpkin. Enough batter to make 1 loaf of bread plus 8 muffins. You've got to try these;you wont be disappointed! Thanks for the recipe.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
OMG so good. im 14 and i love to cook/bake so when my mom brought home tons of apples from the local orchard i knew id have to make an apple crisp. i added lemon juice another 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg to the apples. the water isnt too much at all. the topping is plentyy, since it should be all about the apples. oh and i baked for 35 minutes and the apples were plenty done. i wouldnt bake anymore or it would get mushy. sooooo good! thanks for my new apple crisp recipe!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I also doubled the amount of spice rub. This chicken had great flavor and was moist when it was still a breast. I decided to shred it and make chicken tacos, like other viewers suggested, but the chicken dried up. It was still very good in a tortilla shell with sour cream, salsa, avacados, lettuce, and tomatoes. But overall, ill try making this again just as a breast with rice and veggies. Thanks!

Zucchini Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
i made quiche for the first time for lunch using zuchini and yellow squash. i substitued cheddar for mozzerella cheese and used lowfat ricotta and fat free half and half. even my picky brother thought it was pretty good. at first the inside looked runny, but after it sits for a little then it settled. loved it!

Veggie Pizza

These are great for any party, especially football games. We used 1/3 less fat cream cheese because all the other things that night were quite heavy. It still tasted great! Refreshing and looks beautiful on the plate.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
I'm just 13 and i absolutely love to cook and bake. My family went apple picking this weekend and i wanted to make a dessert that was quick and sweet. I added some things to this recipe to make it even better. I sprinkled brown sugar on the apples before baking which gave them a gooey, sweeter coating and topped with granola. Sooo goood. Anybody can make this, please try it!
