Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this was...We had venison sausage to use and this was a great recipe to balance the spices added by the butcher. My husband told me to add to the regular rotation.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

My husband LOVES this...I brush olive oil and garlic salt on the rolls and melt a bit of swiss cheese on them while in the oven. We eat this for dinner and lunch every day until it's gone and then hubby pouts 'cus he'll miss it so much...

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

A little on the sweet side for my tastes. I will make again, but reduce the amount of brown sugar.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
Fabulous Comfort Food with little effort! I used only 1/2 an onion (husband isn't an onion fan) and added some carrots for color. Made great leftovers!

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
I was pleasantly surprised with how good this was. I used fresh herbs, extra garlic, no onions (fiance doesn't like onions) and added Turkey Italian Sausage. It's a keeper! Thick and hearty, but very fresh tasting.

Buster Bar Dessert

Wow! I made this for a potluck this weekend and I was the star! I even used low fat evaporated milk and fat free cool whip. This did not adversely affect the taste at all... Not a bite remained and I have many requests for the recipe.

Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
This recipe tastes great, but I agree that less butter is important. A layer of oily butter was left on top and didn't appear very appetizing. I will make again, but with less butter.

Apple Dumplings with Rich Cinnamon Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
This was awesome! I added a few fresh blackberries that needed to be used, and they just melted in wonderfully! I may have cooked a little long because the sauce caramelized on the outside a little to much, but my fiance thought it only added to the overall dish. I WILL be making this again!

Six Week Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
Just as awesome as mom used to make when I was a kid....But, next time i'll half it. I didn't have a bowl big enough to mix this in and ended up mixing in 5 smaller bowls and combining ingredients at the end.

Corn Bread Hamburger Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Quick and easy. My fiancee said this was real comfort food. I didn't have green pepper but wanted some veggies, so I put in a can of veg-all. It added a nice texture and, with lean ground beef, made me feel I was giving him a healthier version. He's a garlic fanatic, so I added that in when browning the meat.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
I wasn't paying enough attention, goofed and used ketchup "with a kick" (had tobasco sauce added). My boyfriend raved and said it was WAY better than him mom used to make. I have an open invitation to make this with my "mistake" anytime I want.
