Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
About this Cook
I've come to appreciate cooking later in life. In my twenties and early thirties, I was a pro at the microwave and toaster oven. Now that I have others to cook for, I've discovered I love experimenting and trying out new dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Anything in a crock pot. I love how the flavors warm up the home and are the first thing to greet you when you walk in the house in the evening.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The Christmas Cookie Exchange.
My cooking triumphs
Almost anything from allrecipes.com. I swear by this site! :)
My cooking tragedies
I still haven't prefected the chocolate chip cookie. I cannot consistantly get the perfect, chewy cookie every time. I either undercook or overcook...I like to blame it on the stove, but everything else appears to come out fine... My husband likes it 'cuz I have to keep practicing!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
My husband LOVES this...I brush olive oil and garlic salt on the rolls and melt a bit of swiss cheese on them while in the oven. We eat this for dinner and lunch every day until it's gone and then hubby pouts 'cus he'll miss it so much...

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Fabulous Comfort Food with little effort! I used only 1/2 an onion (husband isn't an onion fan) and added some carrots for color. Made great leftovers!

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli
I was pleasantly surprised with how good this was. I used fresh herbs, extra garlic, no onions (fiance doesn't like onions) and added Turkey Italian Sausage. It's a keeper! Thick and hearty, but very fresh tasting.
