Turkey Wild Rice Soup II
I excluded the almonds and used leftover smoked turkey. I prefer a creamier base and probably would have gotten that if I had used half and half instead of the 2% I had on hand. I pureed the cooked onions and celery as one reviewer suggested but had issues cooking the flour. Would recommend cooking the flour separately, adding the pureed veggies, then the stock. Definitely needed the extra spices as others suggested. I added rosemary, sage, thyme, and garlic. A good warm you up meal :) **Next day had to add more turkey stock and milk as the rice had soaked up too much of the broth. Good thing I made it in advance.

Texas Ranch Potato Salad
I like heavy flavors so I added 1/2 oz extra of ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and white pepper. I also did as others suggested and added 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream. Turned out wonderful!

Perfect Turkey
I added whole cloves of garlic to the veggies in the cavity. I minced garlic, added that to the butter and placed that under the skin. Tented the bird with aluminum foil to help retain moisture. After roasting, I pureed the remaining veggies, garlic, and spices (except the bayleaf) and created a gravy with turkey stock. Tasted amazing, no need for a thickener.
