Creamy Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I had a lot of carrots left over from my garden, found this recipe, but wasn't too confident. Once it was ready, the whole family agrees; it's awesome. We are trying too do a little lower fat diet, so I used half skim milk, and half 2%. Although I did use the butter, and maybe even 1/4 cup more.... but it was so worth it! Great soup, and very fall-like!

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This is amazing bread. I was a little worried, as it was so gooey, that I added another 1/2 cup flour. I used whole wheat flour for half the flour called for. Excellent! I didn't have Italian seasoning, so I made my own, using equal parts of dried basil, oregano, and thyme. Also, this bread is great dipped in olive oil:)

Creamy Mushroom Soup

Awesome recipe. We made it as directed, but with 1 package of shitake, and one of portabella. GOOD soup! Served with french bread, and we are happy!!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I was planning on making cookies for a neighbor, and decided to try this recipe. I was a little nervous, seeing a few negative reviews.... But they are awesome!! I think the error on the part of those who ended up with flat, crispy cookies was that they didn't mix the sugar, egg and butter mixture long enough. If you do, it becomes light and fluffy, therefore the cookies will be as well. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chinese Cabbage Salad II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
great recipe! my whole family loves it. I usually add a splash of soy sauce to the dressing to make it a little more flavorful, but it's certainly not necessary. Thanks for a great salad recipe

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2005
Excellent! I serve this with Oven Brown Rice (recipe found on this site). Everyone loved it, even though my husband was sceptical at first.... I also halved the sauce recipe. If you make all of the sauce, don't worry, it's so good, you could use the left over as a condiment, a dipping sauce, or salad dressing. It's that good.

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2005
This is a great recipe. Those who've complained about salt must have used concentrated broth or base... it's not a salty recipe. I added shredded carrots, mushrooms, and in the last 5 min., a handful of frozen peas. It turned out wonderfully. I have received several compliments, and passed the recipe on many times.
