Key Lime Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
AWESOME!! I used the shortbread crust recipe from this site and I did increase the cream cheese to 32oz and the eggs to 4. I used a springfoam pan and prseed the crust up the sides. This cheesecake was very refeshing. A great ending to a delicious Easter Dinner.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
I haven't made "piggies" as we call them in over 5 years because mine were awful. This recipe was delicious. My kids loved them. I did use a crockpot(4 hrs on low and 4 on high) and the cabbage was so tender. I steamed the cabbage in the microwave with Tupperware Steamer and it worked great. Add this one to your recipe box.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
This recipe gets better each time I make it. I made it for a party this weekend. There were tons of other desserts and this one vanished before I even got a piece. I made it in a silicone pan that was a flower design and just looking at it made your mouth water not to mention the smell when I removed the lid. It is so good now that blueberries are in season. I did use 3/4 cup milk and put the blueberries in the batter and layered the batter and topping. Five stars does not give it the credit it deserves. This one is a keeper.

Pumpkin Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Very good but I was expecting a little more. It is very moist but the center didn't cook all the way and the top was burning. May have been my oven. I would try it again.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This is a very tasty recipe. My 22 month old will eat two whole patties. Didn't have enough plain bread crumbs so I used half seasoned and it gave it a great flavor. Will make it again.

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I LOVE the chocolate version of Texas Sheet Cake and was a little skeptical but this is awesome. I made it for Christmas Eve and got many compliments. I didn't use the walnuts in the icing. I melted green and red white chocolate and drizzled it on the icing which gave it a festive look. I did follow the reviews and cut back on the sugar which was a must because it was sweet enough the way it was. Don't skip the almod flavoring. It is a great addition.

Poor Mans Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
Don't know what happened to Grandma's recipe so I tried this one. Although I did add 3/4 cup of coffee (Dunkin Donuts Decaf) because I do remember that from my Grandm (she used instant coffee). It was excellent. The whole house smelled of cloves and I couldn't wait to eat a piece. It was so moist. I was also a little skeptcal because all I had was a glass pyrex dish to bake but it turned out wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
I made these for a party and they were a great hit. They are very moist. I was told they were better than Hostess. Much easier to fill from the top.

Zucchini Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
I took this to a family dinner and called it "surprise pie". Everyone loved it and they were shocked when I revealed that it was zucchini. It tastes alot like rice pudding in a pie crust. I used the no roll pie crust from this site which was very good and easy. Only negative is that it is very sweet. I only used 1 cup of sugar but will use less next time.

This is great when you are in a huury. It mixed up quick and I am shocked at how easy it formed to the pie plate. I used vegetable because that it what I had and it turned out great. Very tasty.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
My 6 yr old said "This looks awful" but took one bite and said "Mommy this is delicious". Very tasty but I did use chicken broth in place of water. Also I added a frozen mix of corn, beans and carrots when I added the biscuits which do take a good 1 1/2 to cook where they are not gooey. This will be great for a cold winter day.

Corn Chowder with Sausage

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
EXCELLENT!!! My kids ask for it all the time. To make it a little healthier I used Turkey Sausage the second time I made it and it was just as good. Quick and easy to make also.

Zucchini Bread II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
This is a very good zucchini bread. It is moist and has a good taste to it. I added a tsp of nutmeg and instead of nuts I used 1/2 cup of marashino cherries along with 1 tbsp of the cherry juice. Everyone loved it and couldn't believe that it was zucchini (even my kids ate it). Highly recommended.
