I am not a baker, but wanted to make a "steak cake" for my bf's 30th surprise party. This recipe was easy to follow and not too intimidating! I just used half the recipe, a hand mixer (with bread dough attachments) and tons of crisco on my hands, the bowl, the counter; basically everything the marshmallow was going to touch. I put it in the fridge overnight and had no trouble rolling it out the next evening. I was just using it as an offwhite, so the slight beige resulting from the vanilla was perfect.
