Pumpkin Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
Ok, I don't like it when people change the recipe, and then I don't like it when people say they don't like it and they change it, BUT...OMG...I added a glaze to these squares before the cream cheese icing, and in my LIFE I have never tasted anything so good. Make the pumpkins squares as shown, in a 9 x 13 pan, then make a glaze..1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup buttermilk, and cook on the stove, adding some cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, or maybe some pumpkin pie spice. Bring to boil and cook for about 4 minutes. Take off stove and add 1 tsp vanilla. Pour hot glaze on hot cake and allow to totally cool. Then add cream cheese icing...This is the best best pumpkin cake ever. You could add nuts to the icing if you were sure everyone eating it likes nuts.. YUM!!!

Hot Onion Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
This is the best dip on the planet. I am asked to make this everywhere I go..Thanksgiving, Christmas for sure. One tip that is very important and makes a HUGE difference, make it a few days before, or at least one day. It helps soften the onions and dramatically helps the flavor. Refrig after making and then sit it out about 30 min. before baking. This is a keeper! OH...and I add a dash or two of tabasco...

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
this was so good! I browned the tenderloin on both sides in olive oil and salt and pepper. After reading the other reviews I added more French dressing and 2 cans of cranberry (I had a 4 lb tenderloin)so it wouldn't be dry. It has so much flavor...it sounds weird I know, (the combination) but it is a keeper!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
This was easy and very good! I drizzled a little olive oil on the tenderloin and then made the bread crumb mixture with plain bread crumbs (it was all I had) and seasoned the bread crumbs with garlic, salt and pepper, then rubbed it on the tenderloin. Will def. make again! Thanks..

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
At the risk of sounding redundant this salad is outstanding!! Took it to a potluck and have had to send the recipe out via e-mail to 4 different people today. The bowl it was served in was picked clean!! The greatest flavor and I didn't change a thing! Thanks for the recipe...

Mexican Cookie Rings

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I made these for Cinco de Mayo for my son to take to school. Very easy and truly tastes like a bland sugar cookie. Thats not a bad thing..but make sure to add the "jimmies" for a little more flavor. I might even add a titch more vanilla. Also, I punched holes in the cookie and the cookies puffed up and the whole disappeared. The next batch I made them like a donut..a really big whole..and they STILL closed up. Don't know why?!

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
This is SO good!!! Everyone in our family enjoyed this. I omitted the pimentos because my kids would turn their noses up if they saw them..but the sauce is outstanding!! If you can buy light sodium chicken broth, I would. The parmesan adds alot of salt flavor..not too much.. you just don't need to add any in any other way.

Make-Ahead Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
This is the most moist coffee cake I have ever had! I love that this is made the night before and just popped into the oven in the morning. I would probably add some of the streusel in with the coffee cake instead of putting it all on the top. I also folded in 2 cups fresh blueberries. Its a hit!!

This is soooooo good! I never had chicken and dumplings growing up, so this was a first for me. ( and yes, I grew up in the South!) I bought the frozen dumplings (I think they were called Aunt Mary's) and my 3 boys and I couldn't stop eating this. Its easy and so yummy. This will be a winter staple in our house from now on!

Spinach Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
We all enjoyed this. I used 4 cups chicken broth instead of the half water/half chicken broth and added garlic powder. I used frozen spinach and just thawed it and squeezed out all the excess water. I also used basmati rice. This had loads of flavor!! Will make again for sure!!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
This sounds just like everyone elses reviews..but these are the best ginger cookies I have ever had. They are a gooey mess, but I just used my cookie scoop. Once I scooped them, I pressed the cookie into a plate of sugar, and then dropped the cookie onto the sheet, flipping it over so the sugar is on the top. You can't believe how fast these went. I took them to work, and I made a double recipe, and they were gone in a matter of minutes...and I only work with 12 girls!! AND...all of them are always watching their figure...These are amazing!!!
