Butternut Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
I cut this recipe in half and mixed it by hand. After reading about tough crust, i tried to mix as little as i could. I got it to working shape and stopped. My crust came out good. I used it to make a butternut squash pie. Although the dough seems kind of bland, once you have sweet pie with it, it serves it purpose as a vehicle for the pie filling and does a good job..If its not overworked, it has a good texture.

Pressure Cooker Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
Salt note: I dont add salt when i add premade broth. If you feel this isnt enough salt, add 1t to the sauteed veggies while they cook. I like adding crushed sea salt as i eat the soup, so, thats why i dont add it when i cook it.

Manti (Turkish 'Ravioli' with Yogurt Sauce)

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Very easy. I left the water off the ravioli and just spooned the yogurt(i heated it first) on it thick then the butter. I made my own ravioli with crab, cheese tomato and pesto, so the yogurt was perfect to soften the ravioli spices.

Not a BBQ sauce, very sweet. In saying that, it was good. Very sticky. My guys loved it. I didnt have enough brown sugar that the recipe called for, but was still good.

Baked Brie and Mushroom Sourdough Appetizer

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
this is really good, but, how the heck are you suppose to eat it. I cut it up and the mushrooms fell out, so, we just spooned it onto a plate and ate it with our fingers. It was good, just very hard to eat.

Elegant Fig Appetizers with Goat Cheese and Almonds

Don't plan on this recipe before you find out if figs are in season. I used dried, but I'm sure they tasted nothing like they were suppose to. Who knew figs weren't available all the time....

This was really good. I didnt have white wine so i used some red cooking wine and it turned out just fine. We had snow crab legs with this and i used the leftover cream sauce to dip my crab in..My clams were precooked so I just added them at the end.
